I recommend this hotel for its great great LOCATION!!! Right in the historical district alao the staff the boys in the front and lobby are all so very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean beds are comfy. Water pressure is great and veryyyy hot water. Overall 5 stars will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel. Great location, very central. Feels clean and spacious. Staff incredibly friendly. Nice, warm pool. Gym ok but small. Three venues attached to hotel: Nardo cocktail bar - class. The main mixologist is talented. Tim Horton’s - poor and slow. Ojo de Agua - amazing for breakfast. Would recommend this hotel 100%

First time coming to Mexico City and the hotel was amazing ! From the staff to the hotel ambience it was a beautiful stay . Rooftop pool and bar was easily accessible with great view of the city . Sergio was amazing ( ask for the carajillo ) it’s my favorite drink he makes . Will definitely be coming back to this hotel for my next stay . Mexico City has my heart now forever .

Our stay at the Umbral was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. The amenities were top-tier, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was outstanding and very convenient. The only minor criticism would be the scent used in the main lobby. It was a pleasant fragrance, but a bit overpowering at times. That said, it certainly wasn’t enough to affect our overall experience or rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

My son and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Umbral in the Historic Center of CDMX. The property was well situated, right in the heart of the Historic Center, just blocks from the Cathedral so very convenient. Our room was spacious and very clean. The rooftop restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The entire staff at the Umbral was so helpful and friendly - they made us feel incredibly welcome and they were very accommodating with any questions or requests we had.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially because of its convenient location near the city center and the train station. Although some areas of the center were blocked off during my visit, requiring a short detour, the location was still very convenient for getting around. One of the hotel’s most distinctive features is its charming antique character. The building has a unique artistic atmosphere, and the small vintage elevator leading to the rooms adds to the overall historic experience. If you appreciate classic architecture and old-world charm, this hotel offers a memorable stay. The shower was excellent, with very strong water pressure that made it especially enjoyable after a day of exploring. The windows could be opened slightly for fresh air, although the view was limited to a nearby wall. The breakfast was another highlight of my stay. There were about five different main breakfast dishes available, and since I stayed for a week, I had the opportunity to try all of them. Each meal was fresh, delicious, and appeared to be cooked to order. The quality and variety exceeded my expectations. The hotel was also exceptionally peaceful and quiet at night, making it easy to rest comfortably. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers who want to stay close to the city center while enjoying a property with character, history, and an artistic ambiance. Those looking for a sleek, modern hotel experience may prefer a different option.
