Worth going back to Merthyr, just to stay here!

Probably the nicest, best decorated and beautiful room I have stayed in (and I travel for work a lot). Very comfortable, excellent price. Close to the railways station and local restaurants.

Incredible decor, there isn’t one small detail which Howfield Hotel has missed! Amazed by the thought of the little touches to the decor. Very pretty rooms. Very clean and easy to get to from the public car park. Great restaurant choices around the hotel too. Highly recommended.

Brilliant

Howfield is a personal favourite of ours, it's such a nice, clean place with great value for money. The restaurant next-door is also a great plus, never had any issues from the current construction happening to the buildings next-door either!

The rooms at the Howfield were exactly as described in the photos. very comfortable bed, good hot shower with good flow and very clean. the housekeeping staff were polite, cheerful and helpful. communication and check in was completed efficiently via text messages with quick responses ( we asked for an early check in and the room was ready for us ) I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again

The shower area was great. The room was comfortable. All nicely done. The area it was in is up and coming. There is no elevator, so if you are in rooms 5,6,7 or 8 plan on going up 2 and 3 flights of stairs. Parking is close by.

Nice room for a night in Merthyr

Had low expectations but was a great small room in what happens to be a new hotel development above shops on the highstreet. Booked a room labled double / twin but could only book dbl version but its great that they contact you before the stay to ask if you want it made up as a dbl or twin.

Unattended, self check-in hotel. Recently refurbished. Spotlessly clean. Room was quite small, but well laid out and well decorated. The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up into the morning. Overall, it was excellent value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Modern and well furnished property at a great price. Check in instructions were precise and clear. I stayed on the top floor and both nights there was a loud hum (sounded like extract fan runs 24/7) though I didn’t take this up with management. I’d stay again. But would probably request a different room due to the noise mentioned.

Contemporary lushness

Beautiful room! Very clean, contemporary, sense of luxury and really well thought out! The down is that it’s just a room with en suite- no other facilities- and no lift- But there is a delicious cafe downstairs for breakfast and lots of restaurants/takeaway places locally! Would highly recommend!
