This was our second stay here. We were here 2 years ago, also. This place is a reasonably nice hotel that is conveniently located. There were some initial issues with our room, but they rectified them in short order and all was well after that. This is a small and quiet hotel. They have a nice pool and a small restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Izamal.

Great location. I had a ground floor room (room 2, I believe), in which the wifi was not strong. There also were some large bugs running around the floor. The housekeeper helped me get them out. Pleasant terrace and restaurant (though I would have appreciated having coffee available earlier than 8:00 am). Nice pool.

The property is beautiful and in a perfect location next to all the sites you want to see. The pool area is gorgeous, with beautiful Yucatanian hammocks. However, the rooms are dated and in need of renovation. The amenities simply do not exist. For example, no coffee in the room and no big pot of coffee in the lobbly. No refrigerator either, which would have been nice. Worst of all, the staff was extremely uptight and unhelpful. To the point of being really mean and interfering with our fun. The pool closes at 8 pm which is ridiculous, and we were scolded for being in there after 8, even though we were extremely quiet and considerate of other guests. They took a big deposit for amenities at checkin and were extremely rude and accusatory when we checked out, acting as if we were trying to skip out on paying for a breakfast--which was terrible by the way. Don't eat at the hotel.

Easy to walk around. Half of the staff really nice the the other half unfriendly. The room we got (suite 100 had an unfinished floor which is no big deal but it was quite noisy and there are lots of mosquitos in the room eating you alive.

I did not like the room espepcially the bathroom. The shower drainaige was the worst I have ever encountered during my years travelling. Pretty dirty. Smell awkward. Needs alot of improvement.

This is a quirky and unique property! There are a lot of stairs, so keep that in mind if mobility may be an issue (it wasn't for us). I didn't find the bed comfortable at all, though you may if you like a very firm mattress. Breakfast isn't included, but there is a small restaurant on site with tasty options. The staff was friendly and easy to communicate with, even though we don't speak Spanish. The rooftop was a nice place to relax after a day of walking & had a great view! They don't have a bar, but there is a liquor store a couple of blocks away. The round house ruins next door were interesting, though I didn't get a chance to ask for a history. Overall, we had a nice stay.
