The hotel has such a great relaxing vibe. It is a bit away from all the action which is a good thing because it can get noisy and busy in the heart of Merida. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of the city and you can’t beat the pool area, dining area, and lovely lobby.

Gran Hotel Panamerica, I am a fan! The hotel is recently remodeled/ in the process of remodeling and the common areas and rooms are elegant. They have an amazing breakfast that is included. The pool area is over the top... such a fine 3D mural on the wall of the pool it is worth a stop here just to see. All the staff was great, the price a fantastic value. Lastly, the hotel is in a quiet area and I slept without interruption.

The hotel is very nice inside, clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was very good and there are plenty of choices of food for all. The pool was beautiful but not heated so we couldn’t swim in it. There are lots of chairs to sun bathe in. We were able to safely walk to many markets, plazas and restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.
