Good option in Mérida

We stayed here while “escaping” a hurricane hitting Cancún (which, unfortunately, at some point also seemed destined for Mérida). . This was a great place to be in such circumstances. On a normal day it would be a good place to stay in Mérida, but we were impressed by the measures they took to keep operations going and their customers safe in the face of an upcoming storm. We would stay here again.

The water was at best lukewarm and the water pressure was basically non-existent. For three days I did not have one decent shower, which was really disappointing. The staff is nice and helpful and very courteous, but many of them don't speak even basic English and sometimes need to call a colleague over in order to answer simple questions or for ordering something like eggs or coffee.

Service is excellent. So is cleaning. There are no minifriges in the rooms and no possibility to get one even for additional fee. Very low water pressure - a shower takes hours and the water are mildly warm, not hot (enough). The airconditon freezes and there is no possibility to tune the temperature above 20 degrees C. The window does not open to allowing fresh are in.
