This is the second time I'm staying here. I love this place, it's quiet, the sun hits the pool perfectly, so relaxing in it makes it wonderful. The rooms are excellent and the beds are so comfy... I'm coming back every time. Gotta say too, the staff makes the stay really pleasant as well.

I had a good time at this hotel. The rooms are very good, I had one with a terrace and a little pool, very convenient for the hot weather of Merida. The location is also very central, being close to restaurants and other attractions. Overall, great experience.

Overall, Casona 61 was an okay place to stay, but expectations should be set correctly. While it’s marketed as a boutique hotel, the experience feels closer to a motel. The rooms are very basic, with limited amenities — for example, there are no reading lamps, the beds and pillows feel low quality, and both the rooms and bathrooms could benefit from better maintenance. Additionally, charging for water after the first two bottles reinforces a budget, motel-style experience rather than a boutique one. It’s acceptable for a short stay, but it does not deliver the comfort or attention to detail typically expected from a boutique hotel. The only good thing is the staff
