Lovely hotel with an enviable location and an amazing view. Staff were very friendly and helpful with a good evening menu and a lovely Welsh breakfast. The bedroom was clean and tidy, the only downside was I couldn’t get the radiator to work
This is now under new management, the service, rooms and food are all excellent. I have stayed a couple of times now and would definitely recommend it.
The Manager was very helpgul, as were staff. Not sure of where all room were, but ours was awat from the main building, which was a bit inconvienient. However, room clean and tidy. Some initial problem with heating, but sorted by Manager. Breakfast good. No vegitarian alternative sausages , but managed. I wish the new Manager well during this difficult covid 19 times. We had to come back early due to Welsh border being tightened. This meant our paid holiday cut short.
Really lovely place under new management. Food was great and the viewS from pub and our room were incredible. We needed breakfast early and a pack lunch to climb Snowdon and they had no problem helping us out which was really appreciated. Will stay again.
Service was excellent, food exceptional, views amazing

Short break
Went for a short break with our dog. Amazing views from the hotel, breakfast excellent, owner and staff very nice and helpful. I don’t really want to say anything about the rooms as the hotel has a new owner and I’m sure he knows what needs to be updated. Generally really enjoyed it but the most important was the views!!!
The Gazelle has changed managers only 2 weeks ago. The food is excellent and they give 20% off for staying guests which is a bonus. The location is simply magical with amazing views, fabulous sunrises and sunsets, simply stunning.
The dining and bars are lovely but the rooms could do with some small upgrades to make them just a little better. Our shower in room 3 , was an electric one with low pressure. The bed a double, was a little less than super comfortable and could do with a mattress upgrade, i feel.
The staff are lovely and very welcoming and we could not fault the bar , beers or snacks.
We will return.
Lovely little hotel, rooms were ok for what we needed and the staff were lovely- couldn’t do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The food was fab and breakfast tasty and plentiful. Best of all were the views!
I’ll definitely be booking again!
We had a lovely stay at the Gazelle Hotel. Service was fantastic with lovely staff (thank you Rufus, Chris and team). The food was lovely and great value as was the cost of our stay. Our only feedback is please try out the mattresses in your rooms as I know you've recently taken over managing this hotel. Ours wasn't comfortable at all and the room needs some TLC. Thanks again, good luck and see you soon.
The staff are all welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely, good start to each day. The room in the Annex was a little bit dated and in need to a little tlc. The free wi-fi doesn’t reach the Annex.
Arrived late afternoon to a nice reception, directed to room which was an annex. Entered room to find stained duvet cover and a room that stank of damp. Came over to change bedding straight away but had to return linen store a couple of times before getting decent linen, must be a good laundry / linen higher company! He agreed that the room wasn't good and wasn't appropriate for somebody who suffers from asthma. He returned to see if we could be moved but to avail. We decide we couldn't stay and reception agreed it was not suitable and would stop payment. He took my number so that the manager could contact me - still waiting!! It spoiled our weekend away as all Wales was booked up, no room at the Inn!
I'm sorry to say that we can't recommend this hotel.
The staff, views, food were excellent. The proprietor was so pleasant and helpful.
The decor in rooms and corridors needs updating but this did not affect a lovely stay.
Perfectly situated on the Menai Straits this little gem of a hotel is perfect for a relaxing get away or as a base to discover the mythical island of Anglesey. Comfy, clean rooms, bar & restaurant so no need to move away from the spectacular views, even on a misty January day! The owner is a great guy & the staff are excellent. However the food at the hotel is beyond expectations. This is the quality you would expect to find in a top 5* restaurant. Recommend the Menai mussels as a must but the whole menu is a foodie's delight. Overall a great experience at a reasonable price.
Excellent views and exceptional breakfast. Service off all staff was excellent. Breakfast room is amazing With outstanding views. Great location. Very peaceful. Room very clean.
There is NO EXCUSE for failing amenities, and dirty broken urine stained floor tiles just no excuses accepted shouldn’t have let a room in this condition worse room we have stayed in for very very long time
Perfect location with a lovely outlook. The bedrooms were clean and nicely furnished also had tea / coffee. Bathroom was spacious with just one niggle, the shower head was loose. The best thing about the Hotel was defiantly the food. There were four adults in our party and we ate in on two evenings, no complaints from any of us everything was fantastic and at a reasonable price, I would defiantly recommend it.
Very good position on the waters edge. Friendly staff. Food was excellent in either a small attractive restaurant or cosy bar area. I stayed as a single but the room (6) had two single beds with no space for dressing table or chair and the tv was on the windowsill behind the curtains. There was no bedside light. The landlord told me he has a couple of twin bookings and then the room will become a true single. If so it will be fine.
