The view from the pool, and the room we had, were spectacular. The hotel is in a quiet part of town. Restaurants and cafes are close by. There is a bistro, café in the hotel so no need to go far. The hotel, Mellieha and Malta exceeded our expectations.

Location is good. Close to ferry station for Gozo. Also bus stop is 5 minutes away with good connectivity. Overall quiet property with some nice restaurants at 5-10 minutes walk.

One Night Stay at VIU57

We really enjoyed our one-night stay. The room was modern reasonably spacious and spotlessly clean with good storage and a fridge which was great on a hot day. The pool was a decent size and there were sufficient sunbeds to accommodate guests. Breakfast was decent with a good range of cold and hot food. The machine coffee and juice wasn't bad either. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but also professional. All in all I would recommend VIU57 which was in the tranquil and quaint town of Mellieha a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Valletta and Sliema.

Beautiful location and amazing views from the huge balcony in 503! Staff so helpful and friendly and always smiling. Nice breakfast sat beside the pool and comfy sun beds - everything at the hotel was fabulous- thank you for a great stay!

Enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel

lovely Hotel for 3 Star. It would not take much to make it a 4 star. We had an evening meal there twice during our stay and the evening meal was exceptional 5 star service and food was exquisite. Staff were extreamly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable. Thank you

Stayed here for 7 nights on a b&b basis. Large room with lovely sea view. Nice pool area. Our bed was very squeaky but comfortable! Tea and coffee provided. There was a fridge in the room but no safe, so had to leave our valuables in the reception safe. Very good breakfast, room overlooking the pool and the view. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, which meant the heating was on. Orange juice was dilute, not particularly nice. The hotel was very handy for restaurants and bars. Happy hour each night 5-7pm. Area felt very safe and quiet. Would stay again.

First time I have visited since being rebranded to viu57. I asked for a quiet room and was upgraded to a sea view room on the top floor which was perfect, nice and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and really couldn't do enough for you. Plenty of hot water for your shower. The breakfast was very adequate 3 hot stations and salad stuff ,cakes and pastries and a new coffee machine installed. All in all a very pleasant hotel to stay at. The clientele were also fine no rowdissm. A very enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation in staying again. Tremendous value for money

Would absolutely stay again.

Fabulous stay! The location is great, in a quiet area, just a quick walk to the bus stop to get up to the ferry to Gozo and Comino. Also very close to the big church in Mellieha and some spectacular sunset views. The hotel was very clean, and all of the staff were fantastic, especially the staff in charge of the dining room at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was very good - a good selection of breads, meats, and cheeses every day (along with a decadent egg salad) and a rotating selection of hot foods that were very good. Great pastries and fresh fruit, and when I asked there was oat milk available for my coffee, which I appreciated. The view from the room was spectacular - I was there in February so it was too cold to sit out on the balcony with my coffee, but it would have been wonderful in warmer weather. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Toiletries were just shampoo and body wash. Bed was very firm. Because the hallway is tiled, not carpeted, every noise echoes, so it might be worth bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The property was clean and modern from the outside and inside, except that there was flaking plaster around most o the room from about 3-9inches above ground, indicating damp. It made me concerned about what might be in the air. Since it looks out over immediately rural views, be prepared for trucks and barking dogs to arrive at those fields from about 6am in the morning.

Great basic hotel with great views

The hotel had fantastic views as perched on cliff. The rooms were basic but modern. Common areas nice. Staff very friendly and polite. Breakfast was continental and cost €10pp. Very limited. You had option to pay more on top of €10 for cooked. Negatives for us was no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Most hotels now have it as standard so didn’t check before booking. Also you could not add things to room. Had to pay as you go which was a bit inconvenient when wanted just a cup of tea one evening after being out and had no cash, so had to pay by card! First time I think I’ve been in a hotel and not been able to charge things to room.
