What a great place to stay. Cool candy bar by the elevator! All the staff were happy and informative! So nice to see. The complimentary wine was amazing. The downtown location was perfect for access to all things Melbourne. We loved it so much that we stayed here twice during our visit to Australia.

Ovolo properties are always fantastic to stay at and this one is no exception. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. I love the little touches like free mini bar and snacks - it's a little thing that just makes all the difference. Hotel is also really close by to some wonderful restaurants.

Very Friendly Staff

Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room corridors had a musty/mildew smell. Bed was a double even though we’d booked a queen. Parking lot was a fair walk and the breakfast was in a cafe across the road (using a prepaid voucher system). Food was nice and coffee was very good.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Our room stunk of mildew, floor boards had 1-2 inch gaps between them and I have never seen a leakier and mouldier shower. We found bugs flying around in the bedroom. The doors and walls had stains, the worst was the bathrooms with unfinished paint, rusty fixtures and screws, and rotted wood. We asked to change rooms or a refund. The staff were polite and helpful and moved us to another room. In the new room all the issues persisted except the smell and floor boards. Albeit less mould in the shower. Both rooms were styled nicely but cheap fixtures, poor lighting and shoddy paint really ruined it. Shame to experience these poor quality rooms from a brand I expected much more off.

Hotel has a great vibe. Rooms are spacious. Large TV in the lounge area and bedroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Car park a very short walk from the hotel and you can go in and out as often as you like. I travel a lot and can strongly recommend.
