This property is in prime location close to city center. Few issues with apartment: - No Room heater or air conditioner. With freezing temperatures it was difficult on first night. Later property provided room heater. Since this property was listed as having AC, but only in living room not in bedrooms - washer/dryer - doesn’t dry out cloths. You need to dry out on stand

The Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale is not the latest/greatest building, but is an excellent place to stay in a great location for transport, dining, bars, and cultural sites. Cooking and washing/ironing facilities were handy and used daily. The views from our 24th floor apartment were amazing.

Stayed in one for the one bedroom appartments with kitchen, was a lovely stay but the place probably needed more of a thorough clean. The bath was stained which happens over time but we are glad we found the lighter from the previous guest before our 1 year old did. For what we paid, id recommend updating the TVs.. the one in the bedroom wasn’t even worth watching it was so small. Overall would stay again but needs a bit more love!

The location of Oaks on Lonsdale was wonderful for attending the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the room was larger than we expected with all the conveniences that you would expect from an apartment - full kitchen and a laundry with washer and dryer. The bed was comfortable and the room and the rear of the building was very quite. My only issue is that the wifi is the slowest that I have ever had with speeds of 1-4 mb/s download and less than 1mb/s upload, even slower than you get aboard a cruise ship If the wifi was better I would give them a rating of 4.5 to 5
