The hotel is in a great location for going to any of the theatres. All within a short walk. The corner room was nice having a double aspect but unfortunately being on level 1 meant we could hear every street noise including the city sweepers at 5:30am. We also could not work out how to lower the heating in the room. It was too hot to sleep.

The hotel and staff were great; however, there was an issue with what seemed to be some kind of engine or machinery constantly turning on and off with a loud noise. We found it difficult to get used to, which made it hard to sleep uninterrupted.

Hotel has a lovely boutique vibe. Love that it's only 5 levels. Welcoming staff. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Great amenity kit and nice products. Love the location - lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Short walk to Chinatown and shopping precinct. The negatives: Poor soundproofing. Woken early with noise from the surrounding laneway. Needs better black out blinds. Noisy air conditioning. Overall, a nice stay at a good price but if sleeping is your priority might not be your best choice.

Always enjoy my stay here. The beds are super comfy and the pillow selection is great. The rooms are very quiet although if you are backed onto the lane way their can be some early unloading for goods for the restaurants near by. But I am assuming this isn't often. The staff are very friendly too. It's conveniently located just at the top end of China town so only a short stroll into the CBD and who can say no to a free beverage at 5pm! Also great restaurants close by. Has become a regular stay option for me.

Lancemore Crossley's greatest strength is undoubtedly its location in the heart of Chinatown. Beyond that, it's a small, impeccable boutique hotel, provided you can overlook the typical shortcomings of boutique hotels: small coffee-style tables in the rooms that aren't suitable for serious work, etc. The staff, however, were always very friendly and helpful.
