Really cool vibe at this hotel. The rooftop bar has spectacular views and the food/cocktails are excellent. We almost felt guilty eating here too often because while we wanted to check out other locations, the food here was so good! (Try the club sandwich. It is excellent). The staff are really excellent, they go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of and this is a pretty quiet hotel for El Poblado.

Hidden gem in Medellin. Very cool property and the rooms were spacious and spotless. Great location with walking distance to the night life but tucked away. The staff was great and helpful, breakfast was included. This hotel is great for couples or solo travellers. The room was designed to have a very high end feel with great finishes. We can’t wait to come back.

I had an amazing stay! As a solo female traveler, safety is always a top priority for me, and I felt completely comfortable and secure the entire time. The staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive they truly made the experience even better. It’s located in a prime location so it’s close to everything. The deluxe room was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained, which made my stay feel relaxing and luxurious. I also loved the rooftop bar, such a great vibe and the perfect spot to unwind. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone, especially solo travelers!

Our stay at Hotel El Zarzo exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff greeted us outside, helped with our luggage, and immediately made us feel welcome. What stood out most was how genuinely warm and friendly everyone was. It wasn’t scripted hospitality—it was sincere, natural, and heartfelt. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and the entire team seemed to know about it. The General Manager met us at the rooftop bar and surprised her with a complimentary birthday mimosa. It was a thoughtful touch that showed how well the staff communicated and how much they cared. Although we were only there for two nights, the team gave us excellent recommendations for exploring the neighbourhood, and every suggestion was spot on. The location is perfect—an easy walk to Provenza and some of Medellín’s best restaurants, including Don Diablo and Carmen, making it an ideal base for exploring El Poblado. The hotel itself is beautiful. We were fortunate to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and our room was stylish, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The bathroom was simply wow—one of the nicest we’ve experienced in any hotel. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with outstanding service, an excellent location, and people who genuinely care about their guests, Hotel El Zarzo is an easy recommendation. We’d happily stay here again.

From the staff to the rooms everything was amazing! The staff were very helpful in giving amazing tips about places to go and really get a good perspective on the city and all its wonders! The food at the restaurant was spectacular and the views and privacy was what made this experience place shine!
