We had come for parent’s weekend at JMU and Massanutten Resort provided a good alternative, and more affordable, option to staying in Harrisonburg. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa was great (professional and relaxing). The only complaint I would have is the lack of closet space and/or hooks on which you could hang jackets, etc.

Massanutten Resort had everything we needed right on the property, from restaurants and recreation areas to shopping. It was a short drive to Shenandoah National Park, which was our destination. If you enjoy wildlife there were deer everywhere. I would recommend.

Pretty scenery but room was dated and not very nice. Lumpy pillows, a plunger in the bathroom (that was needed), the coffee is terrible and the gym doesn’t open until 8:00 am on the weekend.

Poor lighting outside at night Poor signage for access to buildings Road was closed to go to the check in building and we were never told about that. It took us an hour to have that resolved. We were left check out instructions which included taking off the bed sheets!! We will not recommend this resort to anyone!
