“Stone Town is over rated. The area is dirty, the buildings' facades are falling apart. The public parks and beaches are mostly dirty, with garbage everywhere. I wouldn't suggest to stay there. Better stay some where else in Zanzibar and just spend one morning walking around Stone Town. The hotel air condioner was really noisy, the pillows uncomfortable. Could improve in several things. ”

“It was a good location for Stone Town. Other than the day that I arrived, there were no host/staff around if you needed anything. The breakfast was available at a restaurant nearby called Seven Spices. The food was OK. When there was a torrential downpour, it would have been helpful if they had umbrellas to lend. “The room was big and it was clean. Had hot water for the shower. Enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful. The only problem that I had with the room was that it had that old musty smell to it. I was thinking because the hotel is so old that’s why it has that smell. I would stay here again.”
