Webb's was perfect for our stay with the dogs in the lake area. Conviently located with a great jacuzzi in the room and a fenced in patio that the dogs loved to sit on and people watch. As the manager said, we may not be a 5 star resort but we are friendly and make you feel at home!

I was in the lobby at about 1a sat night/sun morning with a fully paid expedia reservation; no one was at front desk, there was a # to call, Kelly; spoke to her , was very rude said she was not on the property and can’t help me, said expedia is terrible and they “overbooked”; I said that is generally a good problem? she took offense and threatened to call the police to remove me from the premises and hung up. Ouch!! Not a good look, this new to be reported to higher levels. Happy to discuss further why this was so so wrong.

This place used to be beautiful but sad to say it's not anymore it smells like mold the room smelled like an ashtray when it was a non smoking room. The TV remote didn't work and the staff said they couldn't do anything about it. Room was not clean trash all over behind the refrigerator. The blind fell and hit my grandson on the head.the pool was filthy . They had parakeet s in a cage by the check in and they had no food or water and filthy cage. People outside all night sitting in chair's drinking and being very noisy until 2am. There was 2 staff members that were very nice only good thing to say about the place.

The best thing about our stay at Webb’s was the proximity to the July 4 fireworks, the view of the lake from my balcony, and the generous room size. I appreciated the friendly and helpful Sabrina who greeted us at the front desk. My bed was comfortable enough. However, its 7/10 rating on Expedia seems high. Overall, my room was clean, but the property (hallway carpets, outside parking lot) was not. The hallways reeked of pot. One guest was very high and hanging out in the lobby and parking lot at different times. The balcony off my room was dirty. Also, there were light bulbs missing from one of the lamps in my room, the balcony porch light was on all night, and the curtain was too narrow and too short to black out the room. There were very few outlets available in the room- the one next to my side of the bed was taken up by the clock and the lamp. The restaurant has shut down. The candy and gift store was closed (I didn’t really need it, but on a day when there were so many people in Mayville awaiting the fireworks, it seems like a bad choice - especially for serving guests of the hotel.) Overall, it is a run down, somewhat unkempt, and understaffed property. Sadly, I won’t be back unless they up their game.

The staff was extremely helpful. The pool was not open for the entire stay; other people continued to use it despite that. We did not. The staff seems to be making great efforts to improve the property. They even left to buy items we needed during our stay. The entire property smells like smoke. I am unsure if there is a smoking permitted room: but people smoke in the rooms or on the balconies. It was annoying at best and definitely a concern for anyone with asthma or anyone who just hates that smell. The room itself was clean as was the bathroom. The heat and AC worked well. TV provided night time entertainment and the small fridge was nice to have. The pet friendly option is a huge perk when traveling and the property was very well maintained for pets: grass cut: didn’t smell like pets at all. No elevator: so it was a bit of exercise going up to the second floor but I didn’t feel this took away from the trip. Views of the lake are incredible and the putt putt is always really nice course. We did not use the gym. Continental breakfast was provided each morning. Overall I would want to visit the property before returning. It was effective and I expect it to be improved over time given the dedication of the staff.

The good: amazing view, very comfortable bed, huge jetted tub, strong AC, friendly staff. The bad: the pool was closed the entirety of our 4 night drive day stay. The breakfast that was included wasn’t there the 1st morning. The 2nd morning- there were some sleeves of bagels, a couple packs of English Muffins, a jar of PB, a jar of jelly, a tub or margarine, a single butter knife. NO plates, bowls, napkins. There was a basket with a few Little Debbie snacks there too. No juice, no bottled water. The King Deluxe Suite we booked had a kitchenette with a tall mini fridge, but no microwave or anything to heat up food. The bed was very comfortable but needed repair. The bottom two posts kept falling off. The balcony was great- but the lighting was broken and on the ledge of the sliding glass door. And the screen was stuck and inoperable. This place has so much potential. Oh. And the electric fireplace was constantly generating heat and there was a little blue flame at ALL times. Yes, even in the off position. The furniture definitely hadn’t been cleaned under in a very long time either. Found a caramello Easter candy wrapper under my night stand and worse under the dresser.

We were visiting family in the area and chose here because we know the area. The resort was clean and newly remodeled. The staff was very friendly, especially Kelly. The breakfast was not much, just a cereal bar, some muffins and bagels and coffee so we ate at a local restaurant down the street. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.
