We visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved everything about our stay at Bougainvillea. The beachfront location, service, amenities, location, etc. were all incredible. We used public transportation the whole time and were within a 10-15 minute ZR bus ride of almost every major point of interest we wanted to visit (the Oistins fish market, west coast beaches, catamaran launch sites, and fine restaurants). The hotel’s well-maintained beach, water activities, live entertainment, etc. made our whole stay here remarkable.

This is a true relaxing oasis. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are not luxury however if you are staying in the ground floor with the pool walk out you will appreciate it. Maintenance should tend to the small roaches in the room/bathroom. This hotel is near a lot of activities as well. Great for solo family or intimate trips.

Our room was great, clean and modern finishings. The pools were a little disappointing, there are three advertised however one is a kiddie pool and the other is for guests 16 and up only so we were confined to one pool the entire time (my daughter is 14) and it's only chest deep. The hotel has good parking, all the cleaning staff were wonderful, same with the restaurant staff. The food could be a little better for the price, it was still good, but just good and highly expensive. The property and area is quite safe, very clean beach and the nightly entertainment was very good.

Great place for families. Large rooms and staff is great. Beach is wavier than west coast, so you need to be careful with small children, but great for boogie boarding. 20 min walk to Oistins and 20min to the bottom of at Lawrence gap. Lots of places to eat within 5 min of the resort.

Property was extremely clean. The room had some minor issues like the bathroom sinks weren’t properly vented so it smelled like sewage when you ran the water. There was definitely some patchwork done on the walls. The TV in the bedroom did not have any channels and for some reason the AC unit and the bedroom did not get as cool as the AC unit in the living room, but there was a ceiling fan so we survived. The staff was extremely friendly. We did not use any of the pools, but they looked beautiful. The restaurants were mediocre so we mostly off property. The private beach was nice however there was a lot of seaweed. I would highly recommend making the trip to Savvy On the Bay if you want calm, clear water with no seaweed.

The beach was great (sandy, very little sargassum, low surf that even my young kids could swim, lots of chairs), the pool was fun, having guest laundry available was nice, the kitchen was well equipped (coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware), the on site restaurant (Calabash) was very good, parking was easy and the location was great for exploring the island. The rooms were a good size and the facilities themselves were nice. The staff in the calabash restaurant were kind and welcoming and the staff up early in the morning cleaning the pool were friendly. Nice location at a reasonable cost. Beach was clean and well maintained as were the public areas. Shame that the kids pool was in the shade most of the afternoon and you couldn’t use the main pool as it is adults only. Also, we had a bit of a bug problem in our kitchen area. Small cockroach like bugs were present as soon as we arrived. Didn’t cause too much of an issue but was a bit gross and unexpected.
