Perfect B&B with lovely owners

The owners were lovely, welcoming and had thought of absolutely everything guests might need during their stay…nothing was too much trouble. Room was quiet, clean and loved the fridge given the hot weather. Location is 20minute walk into both Matlock and Cromford. But location is very hilly for both walking and driving with no local shops.

Lovely B&B. Clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast was really good. Close to Matlock by foot. However, it’s quite on a hill. So not so practical for people with mobility issues.

Stayed here couple of nights whilst on business . Nice comfy room , great bathroom. Located high up in the hill , but located well , and taxis east and only £5 EW … only need way back 😂 . Lovely breakfast , would stay again .

Booked based on great reviews from other travellers. 2 night stay at Gables. Negatives - Booked a double which was zip and link beds. Mattress old and too hard for us plus you could feel the join in the middle. Very small room and en-suite door dragging on the floor. Positives. Very nice breakfast and very clean throughout. Wouldn't stay again due to comfort of bed.

Lovely, freindly, owners, very helpful. Beautiful veiw, very tasty breakfast, great value for money. Only small pointers are the bath whilst looking amazing was very uncomfortable as was the toilet seat (just personal preference). Also just bare in mind the quadruple room is a standard double and double sofa bed for the kids to share.
