Can't fault this little gem of a find. The rooms are stunning & the food equals that. The staff at breakfast were amazing- attentive, caring & kind. We will definitely be going back again! Attention to detail regarding EVERYTHING they have nailed it! 10/10 love it! Rail line a few minutes walk. Beautiful setting - perfect.
Lovely Grade 2 building so the rooms are slightly quirky, but that is its charm. Do not expect crisp clean lines and perfectly level floors, but be prepared for a place you can comfortably relax into.
Excellent B&B in a great setting with super friendly and professional staff. The room was very well looked after, it was in pristine condition and had all of the amenities we needed. Convenient parking right outside, and the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B - A selection of cereals, fruit and yogurt, freshly baked pastry, juices, tea and coffee and a delicious cooked option. Amazing value, highly impressed and we will definitely return if we're in the area again!
Room was lovely & cozy with great en-suite. Plenty of tea & coffee etc which was refilled every day. Snacks & a mini bar also. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast included. Definitely recommend The Family Tree.

The room was very clean with amenities you would need. The bathroom was well stocked, with lots of hot water. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were the best I have anywhere, you had a tray of cereal, fruit, fruit juices and pastries and an additional hot breakfast with lots of tea and coffee. There is free parking across from the family tree, you have to take care when crossing to it. Thank you for a lovely stay.
well priced comfortable overnight accommodation with an excellent breakfast and friendly staff..

The staff were superb, attentive and helpful. The room was luxurious and comfortable. Although I visited at a quiet time of the year, the areas natural beauty and charm remained.
Friendly people, loved the bouquet of ranunculus. Quiet room. Great breakfasts. Nice hot shower.

Breakfast is amazing! The room is really beautiful and comfortable. A little gem of a place. Just a shame that dogs are not taken in the rooms otherwise we’d stay here much more often.
This was a very nice place to stay. I enjoyed the closed in patio area and the breakfast was very delicious. The rooms were neat and the area was safe and quiet.
We used The Family Tree hotel/b&b as a stop over on the way to Bath. The place was superb… very clean, good facilities in the room, with a hearty and delicious breakfast. The off street parking in also very convenient. Additionally the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Thx for a lovely stay
Plenty of parking, lovely room. Friendly staff.
Only downside.... I'm gluten free and they didn't have any GF cereal but i was able to have a full english breakfast and they had GF bread and sausages. Nice touch in the room was biscuits, but again i had stated on the booking that i was Gf so it would have been a nice to have left a packet of GF biscuits. Only 12 minutes drive from main area of Matlock town.
