Beeley is a lovely inn in a picturesque village. Great location for Chatsworth and beyond. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and had all the amenities needed and more. Breakfast was very good.
Overall very good. Lovely place, great parking facilities, clean and comfortable room, lovely pub. Food was delicious but the menu lacked ambition. No much choice so could do better with this. The breakfast however was EPIC. BEST FULL ENGLISH IVE EVER HAD!!
As for value for money! Overall it’s not worth it. Belley Inn needs to take a serious look at what it charges per room, not necessarily for the food and wine, but the accommodation is far too expensive and not worth the money. There are dozens of other places close by offering better value for money.
Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals.
Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out.
It was great. Staff wonderful, food great communications excellent, only slight detraction was the room was a tiny bit tired and in the cottage across the road with a bit of a sticky window. However in general terms we live the whole experience and I can’t praise the staff enough. They were brilliant
It was the first time me and my friend had been to the Peak District and I'm so pleased we decided to stay here. It was beautiful, the rooms were decorated lovely, the bathroom with the hot towel rack was great and the view from our window was quaint. Have told friends and family about it and will definitely be staying again!
Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.
It was unfortunate that we were there after the floods in October. Disappointed to have dinner in the damp feeling bar when the lovely dining room was empty . Why ?
Staff were lovely , efficient and a good and reasonable wine list . Great breakfast.
Excellent stay. Staff excellent apart from one. Our room was above the bar and there was some noise from the bar but it stopped at 10pm so not really a problem. Room excellent, bathroom and toiletries excellent! Breakfast very good apart from the bacon served was streaky bacon. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs excellent. I was charged £180 by Hotels.com but the hotel bill was actually £153.
The hotel was friendly clean and tidy. Didn't like the first room so they changed it without hesitation. Food was extremely good, not cheap by any means but they did deliver on the quality.
We had a one night stay in the brookside house next to the hotel, our room was extremely comfortable with King size bed, a nice touch was a box of chocolate cookies with the coffee and tea making facilities. The bathroom was a little quirky the toilet flush took a little getting used to you think it is broken but then decides to flush also the over bath shower had a disconcerting habit of the shower head tapping me on the head now and again. The food could not be faulted for choice or quality and also the extensive wine list. We will definitely return to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were also very professional and friendly nothing was to much trouble for them.
Utterly romantic village setting - old stone walls, tinkling stream. Good meals in intimate ye olde rooms or in a modern breakfast room. Slightly disappointing when breakfast menu promises Traditional Derbyshire Oatcakes but they had run out of them - I'm always curious to try local things. The building is really old and small, which meant that chatter from the pub rooms and outside table could be heard loudly as we tried to get to sleep ... but that did quieten down after we made a phone call
