The property was clean and the staff and service were amazing. We kindly got an upgrade to our room with was a lovely surprise for our anniversary which truly set the stay to good start. They also fulfilled our special request for the room which was very kind of them also.

Had a really nice stay. Staff were very nice and friendly. Great quiet atmosphere. Reception area , Bar and dining rooms were nicely decorated but the rooms could do with a little tlc. Overall enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Anything you read about the property being a bit dated... It is indeed true. But honestly, the place is perfectly fine! The beds were comfy, the place is clean, the staff are absolutely lovely. If I paid more I would expect more, but the price is good value I think! Especially given the small spa facilities.

One Night

I love staying here and i find it’s my happy place as i always have one of the rooms facing the pool with a balcony and in summer you can sit outside and think you are anywhere in the world. The food is amazing The staff are always willing to help. Looking forward to my next stay.

I had a lovely stay The friendliest of the staff is amazing I also had a meal in the hotel and it was one of the best i have had in a long time. If you love Salmon then that’s the dish i would recommend

Highly recommended!

It was great! The staff were nice and approachable. They upgraded our room when I requested a closer room to the entrance as I am 30 weeks pregnant. The spa and pool were amazing as well. We enjoyed it. We'll be back again.

Beautiful location and everything you need

We stayed for 2 nights in December and found the hotel met our needs perfectly. All staff were friendly and helpful and food in the restaurant and at breakfast was fantastic. We hope to stay again in the future.

Memorable stay with memorable staff

We had a great stay here. The room was comfortable clean and nice views of the pool. The staff were excellent making sure our stay was memorable especially the brown haired girl on reception she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and shown us the highlights of Matlock thank you. Breakfast was great and the bar area with the band and vynl Dj was great. The natural therma swimming pool was unique and great. Life guard was very chatty and helped us understand how it worked from the underground stream.
