Even castle towns have super markets. In Portugal, the chain of Pingo Doce are good ones that seem to have the best of both worlds: convenience of a broad range of stuff as well as locally sourced products. And of course they all have a pile of bacalao!

I think I liked the railing in green more than this yellow! Marvão castle up above. The restaurant where this shot was taken is called O Sever and is great. Right alongside is a swimming pool / beach area along the Sever river. Very pleasant.
