Love. Love, loved our stay at Tranquil House Inn! Our room was quaint, very comfortable and perfectly located on the water. We had dinner in the 1587 Restaurant and it was fabulous. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place is properly named. We have stayed here a few years ago and often reminisce about the scenery and peacefullness. We like to walk and with the newest boardwalk extensions all that came to fruition. Location and scenic value is a DREAM!

We had an amazing time at the Tranquil Inn! The accommodations were so comfortable and the staff wonderful! It was centrally located in the village of Manteo and close to pubs, restaurants, shops. We visited all of the suggested attractions recommended by the staff and totally enjoyed everything! We are looking forward to a return visit!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The double queen rooms was very clean and larger than expected.
The waterfront location is perfect for relaxing or exploring.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained from the moment we arrived. The grounds were beautiful, clean, and had so much outdoor space to enjoy. We loved being able to walk around, take in the scenery, and use the bikes available to ride around Manteo! It was such a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Every staff member greeted us and was so welcoming. We especially want to shoutout the staff member who was working Friday morning (7/17). She quickly helped us replace our refrigerator when we had an issue. She TRULY made the hospitality memorable and deserves some credit! Overall, this was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. We felt well taken care of, and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Wow. Wow. Wow. What a great place. The Inn was first rate. Easy access door locks was just the start. The staff was so helpful and kind. The restaurant on site was great. Our waitress Paige was a joy. So smart! The location looked like the set of a hallmark movie… well, according to my wife. I NEVER. Watch those. A truly great place to stay and enjoy the outer banks of NC.
