We had a wonderful 1 week stay at the Old Corner Inn! We loved the location. It was less then 2 hours to the train and had great parking! The innkeeper Mike was so friendly and wonderful! He helped us plan our excursions! He went out of his way to make sure our trip was wonderful and special

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Location was convenient.
Property was poorly maintained. Breakfast was bare-bones.
Outrageously expensive for the condition of the house. The pictures shown must have been taken 30 years ago. Dirty wall to wall carpeting. Dingy room. Impossible to move in the old bathroom, smaller than a closet. The window shade came down. No tv. Sad continental breakfast we did not eat. Depressing in general. Stayed in the room to sleep and left as soon as we got up. Had I not booked through Expedia, I would have asked for my money back and left as soon as I saw the place.

The building was beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room itself was a little small but it was the last one available. We were up two flights of stairs which were a little
Charming old fashioned ambiance. Lovely furnishings in nice location although a bit noisy with too much traffic during the day. The proprietor was gracious and helpful. No TV in the room or downstairs. A nice claw foot tub but difficult to use for older adults. Clean, nice simple breakfast, good location to see sights around the area.
We went to the Gloucester area for a long weekend and decided to stay at the Old Corner Inn in beautiful Manchester-by-the-Sea. Our room on the third floor was both comfortable and charming. The Inn itself having been built in the mid 1800's, is embellished with vintage decor and lovely service ware.
The Inn has beautiful wood floors throughout the first floor. It has an inviting wrap around porch outfitted with comfortable chairs and small table where we relaxed and spent a few minutes chatting with other guests
Michael our Inn keeper/host, was delightful. He shared with us the history of the Inn, things to do and see in the area, and otherwise wonderful conversation.
The Inn was so quaint and cute! The to was nice, however with this room you shared the bathroom with another room. So just be prepared that you maybe in a room where you'll have to share a bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay here!
Let's start with Mike!!! He was by far the best host ever! So sweet, informative and generous. The house is kept in pristine condition with beautiful decor and paintings everywhere. The rooms are just as great. Turn down service everyday with fresh towels and water bottles every morning. To say this was the best place I stayed on my 13 day road trip is an understatement!!! I would highly recommend booking here.
20 minute drive to Salem
45 min drive to Boston
We will definitely be booking yearly!!
This place is amazing! My friend and I came up for a girls trip in October 2020 to make up for a cancelled trip earlier this year. The host, Micheal, was so nice and gave us a whole lot of fun things to do! The beds were so comfy and the contiental breakfast was made classy by the actual china that you could serve yourself on. It's perfect for embracing the Victorian feel during the most perfect Girls Weekend!

Good location. Older property but good enough.
The Old Corner Inn was a former Danish Embassy years & years ago. It's about a mile from the beautiful village of Manchester-by-the-Sea with quaint shops and nice restaurants. The inn was comfortable, no frills and not much breakfast to speak of - probably a covid thing - but good enough. Could probably use a bit of work & updating but as it was a girls weekend we weren't there for much longer than to sleep & shower. Be sure to stroll down by the harbor - lovely. It was about 15 minutes from Glouschester & Rockport. Nice.
It's such a sweet little inn! The property manager was very nice and the space was clearly sanitized regularly. Hand sanitizer was available immediately inside the door and masks were required at all times outside of the rooms. I would absolutely stay here again!
This seems to be the only Inn in the town . It is outdated. The bathroom was so small it almost was impossible to shut the door which won’t close all of the way anyway. The bed sheets were wrinkly on uncomfortable beds. This may just just the case with the 3rd
floor rooms where we stayed. There is the sound of traffic on the road until late in the evening. The breakfast was okay. It is too bad because the location is so pretty.
We had a suite with a room with a Queen bed and a separate room with two pull-out singles. It wasn’t until after we’d checked in that I discovered the door in our room led to a closet not a bathroom, which was down the hall!
The Inn was adorable and clean. The host was very accommodating - after I realized my original booking was for a shared bathroom I contacted him and he changed the room right away to one w/ a private bath. The room was really cute, clean, and the AC kept it nice and cool on a very hot day. The only downside was the mattress wasn't particularly comfortable. It was also really close to the water and a very nice area to walk around. Would definitely stay again! :)
Very well kept clean property. The owner is extremely friendly. Upgraded our room and let us check in early and leave our car after checkout to enjoy the day. Excellent continental breakfast. We would return again. Minutes from a cove and beach with quaint restaurants and shops.
The staff was very friendly and made check-in a breeze. The location is great. Didn't like how springy the beds were and the size of the bathroom was disturbingly small especially for a larger people.
