Absolutely a slice of paradise on earth! If the Garden of Eden and Swiss Family Robinson had a baby it would be San Simian! Food was best we’ve had in all of Nicaragua. Amazing property with unbelievable terraced gardens down to the pebble beach, where you can go tubing, kayaking or swimming. Our cabana was absolutely huge with a top floor lounge and balcony with views of the lake. Don’t just want to go back, want to move there!!! Will be a regular stop any time we are in Nicaragua. Owner is the most friendly and interesting expat we’ve encountered. Can’t recommend highly enough, was an absolute dream escape!

I have visited Laguna de Apoyo many times, and I’ve stayed at several different resorts. This one by far was my favorite. Peaceful, tranquil, and a great value. Beautiful natural area with good vibes. The attention to detail provided by the owner and the staff solidify my decision to stay here again the next time I visit the Lagoon.

This place is fantastic. Great friendly hosts, good food and a beautiful lagoon. Be sure to check out the Free diving school right down the road as well as the Water Slide Hotel. The family room was perfect for travelling with kids.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It was absolutely fantastic. It’s in a beautiful location with a breeze off the water, the property and the cabins are beautiful as well. The food is also great with decent prices. The owner (Daniel) and crew were awesome and very helpful with organizing transportation and recommendations on hikes close by and things to do in the area. Highly, highly recommend this property if you are staying at Apoyo Lagoon.

If you want to unwind & relax this is the place. Beautiful view depending on the room you choose. Bungalows are amazing, lush gardens, swimming in the lagoon was awesome. We had a nice time, will definitely come back with our kids.

Beautiful location right on Laguba de Apoyo. Breakfast was included and was great. The dinners at the restaurant were also good. We were there on very rainy days, so weren't able to enjoy the outside as much as we had hoped too. Daniel, the owner was very helpful with arranging shuttles etc.

What a hidden gem. Beautiful cabins with hammocks, amazing views, great food and a very nice staff. Not too crowded. I stayed 3 nights and wish i could have stayed longer. Highly recommended

We had such a great stay at San Simian Lodge! The location was so beautiful and peaceful. We saw lots of colorful birds around the lodge. We were able to swim in the laguna and use the kayaks. The food and drinks were fantastic. The lodge was able to provide transport to and from Granada. 100% recommend!

Place is secluded, not much around the area but other hotels/homes. You have to drive outside to main roads, with that being said. The hotel is peace full and quiet. Graet place to relax with access to the beautiful lake. The huts are individually decorated and grounds a nicely kept. Every morning the ground are cleaned and set up for the day by its friendly employees. Breakfast is served daily and dinner is also available for a good price. Dinner does end at 7:15 or so. I would definitely stay in this beautiful place, do bring mosquitos repellent. Bring mosquito repellent to carry all around nicaragua 😆

The owners and staff, particularly Daniel the bartender, are very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The place itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The whole place is a beautiful garden in what is already a naturally gorgeous area. Dogs are welcome and the owners have a lovely German Shepard pup. We spent our 25th anniversary here and couldn’t have hoped for a beautifully designed, quiet and comfortable spot.
