Great hotel with a few wrinkles.

My wife was in the nearby Vivian Pellas Hospital. I stayed here on my own and enjoyed it very much. Some of my lower marks are because: the pool was not maintained so it was less attractive and not useable. Their chef had left for some reason so you could not eat lunch or dinner there. They would order in for you but it was fast food, not ideal. The property is very secure with high fence and gates. This is good but the only way in is to get the attantion ofthrperson on duty. There is a buzzer but I came in at 10pm one night and the attendant was asleep. Took me 45 minutes of phoning and buzzing before another guest came down and woke her up. She claimed she was in the bathroom. Blatant lie. Quite frustrating. I would stay here again if I needed to be close to the Vivian Pellas hospital. The hotel is very attractive and comfortable. Hopefully the wrinkles are ironed out.

Only spent a brief overnight after arriving at 1 am. Room was nice. Hotel was artfully decorated. Great breakfast & friendly staff. Would stay again for longer if I was back in Managua.

A nice stay near Carretera Masaya

Nice, comfortable, quiet place outside of the hustle and bustle of Managua. A bit hard to find - at least at night. After coming off Carretera Masaya, it you get to the little market on the left, you've just passed the road on the right. Great if you're headed down to Masaya or Grenada in the morning, as you're right off the road. Great breakfast and a firiendly staff.

It appears this hotel has a beautiful room fixed up for the photos on the internet, but apparently, it is much different than the actual rooms they offer!

Schönes, ruhiges Hotel im Kolonialstil

Insgesamt gesehen war unser Aufenthalt im Villa Maya sehr schön. Allerdings gab es ein Problem mit einem der beiden Zimmer, die wir für unsere 5-köpfige Familie gebucht hatten. In der Beschreibung des Zimmers hieß es "Doppelzimmer mit einem kleinen Queen-Bett". Queen-Betten sind normalerweise 1,60m breit. In dem recht kleinen Zimmer (Zimmer 3), das uns zuerst gezeigt wurde, befand sich allerdings ein Bett, das nur ca. 1,20 breit war. Auf unsere Reklamation hin, dass wir in einem so schmalen Bett nicht gut schlafen könnten, wurde uns zuerst erzählt, dass in den vom Hotel an Expedia übermittelten Informationen nicht "Queen-Bett", sonder "Full Bed" stehe. Da wir nicht lockerließen, wurden wir schließlich in einem anderen Zimmer einquartiert, das sehr schön war und in dem sich ein großes Doppelbett befand. Leider konnten wir dort nicht bis zum Ende des Aufenthaltes bleiben, da dieses Zimmer für andere Gäste gedacht war.
