Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. I was impressed that the rooms are very large and well kept. If you're a modern, brand new kind of person, Shilo Inns is stuck in the 1980's so this won't be the place for you. But it's clean, staff are very nice and it's close to all slopes at Mammoth. I'll stay at Shilo again for sure.

It’s an older hotel that’s being renovated. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was convenient having the the breakfast in the morning. The bed was comfortable but the futon couch was extremely worn out and hard to sit on after a short while.

We were looking for a budget friendly hotel and this was it.It is convenient. Only a block from the bus stop. It's in town. Shops and restaurants behind us. It's an old hotel and certainly needs an updating. Room is spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. But the window has unfinished wood trim. Plenty of counter space at the wash sink which we love. It includes breakfast which we didn't care for. Overall ,the staff is friendly and for the price, and convenient location. I love it. We will definitely consider coming back.
