We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and modern. It was extremely quiet and we loved the central location. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we highly recommend this for a place to stay in Malton.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was tidy and comfortable, could hear the bar area outside window but was as expected. Bathroom was in real need of refurbishing. Lovely location in town, had a great time
Staff were very friendly especially Bethany when we checked in, she took time so show us where to park and where the best places to eat were. Room was clean and comfortable, and had jockey paraphernalia in the entrance hall which I enjoyed being a horse racing fan! The bar itself does not do any food and we arrived about 9:30pm and really struggled to get anything to eat, in the end the Thai restaurant cooked a meal for us but we were the only ones in there so it felt a bit awkward.
The accomodation was fine. My only complaint was about parking..
Arriving inthe afternoon, I was told it was ok to park on the car park at the front.
Fortuneately, I went to the car at 7.15am, and found my car blocked in with market stalls
great welcome taken to room lovley enterance hall. room very basic tiered need of full re furb more a £50 room than £80 but was clean. no radiator in bathroom.
great location.
Right from setting foot in the place, we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to our room, even though we arrived three hours early and only wanted to see if we could drop off our bags.
An ideal location for the Malton food festival. The only real issue we had was no parking, due to the festival. This issue was easily resolved by using a certain app to rent a local drive for the night.
We were constantly asked if we needed anything and if things were ok with our stay. Very friendly ladies.
First time staying in Malton. Arrived Friday just after lunch on market day and parked just outside the building.
Chapter 2 is a bar and served a couple of real ales as well as the usual range of beverages. The bar itself is very nice and staff were very friendly. After being shown to our room in a complex out the back of the building we had a couple of pints in a snug with a real fire blazing... just noce for an Autumnal day.
The room itself was clean and quiet with a nice ensuite and a good array of biscuits teas and coffees and plenty of milk too 🙂.
Highly recommended.
Everything okay, but like others found the emergency lighting in the room too bright . Never known it in other hotels. However talking to someone staying elsewhere in Malton they had the same problem, so presume its a local requirement.
A lot was good, bed, shower, staff.
Room small - no wardrobe, chest of drawers or space for suitcases.
Big problem bright green security light floods the room all night and makes sleep difficult. Bring good eye masks (previous guests had tried to stick cardboard over the light)
Perfect overnight stay ,with the friendliest staff
Very comfortable overnight stay ,very good value ,Emily and Beth made me feel, very welcome and great ale in the bar with table service !!
Will stay again
This is our second visit, the room was a good size with everything we could need. All the staff were very helpful. A good selection of drinks at the bar. I would definitely recommend this as a base for a weekend.
We stayed here as we were visiting the food and drink festival. It was very central, and despite that the room was very quiet. We arrived earlier than the check in time but we were shown our room straight away. The owner and staff were all very helpful. The room had everything we needed. Wiykd go vack again.
