Airport pick-up was really efficient as was check-in. All staff in the hotel were very friendly, professional and helpful. Room had everything that you need for a stop over - TV, minibar, aircon. The room, bed and duvet were on the small side. It was very loud outside throughout the night, however part of this was due to the extra prayer calls during Ramadan. The rooftop restaurant had very good food and very good service, for a very affordable price.

Airport shuttle for pick up and drop off, was efficient and easy to locate the driver when exitingthe airport. Very friendly, carried our luggage to the car and into the motel. Friendly reception staff, carried luggage to the room. Room was very clean and cool with air conditioning running in anticipation of our stay. A little crystallisation in the tile grout in the bathroom but other than that, it was very modern with USB ports in the power points and a very resonably priced mini bar. (No alcohol) A gift shop in the spacious and comfortable foyer. The buffet breakfast was terrific with a wide variety to meet all tastes. I recommend this property as it was extremely convenient as a stop over port to the atolls. The township is not tourist friendly, use it as a layover, not for vacation.

The hotel in general exceeded my expectations. As a road warrior I typically end up staying at Hampton inn type properties. Unima Grand is the Hampton inn of Male. Great familiar like environment to make you feel comfortable. The staff connected via WhatsApp prior to arrival at to make the transfer from the airport to hotel seamless. Check in was smooth with formalities filled out while I waited at the airport. Breakfast and the on site restaurant was exceptional! Lots of fresh local offerings at a very good price. Only 2 areas for improvement. Wifi was limited to 1 device at a time. My door had some issue with the lock. Possibly a low battery. Again, nothing really to complain about.
