We had 3 beautiful bungalows with seaview, nice breakfast, friendly staff, amazing swimming pool. For a four star hotel the rooms could be in better shape, they need a renovation. Weren't very clean either. Hairdryer didn't work in room 22, shower leaking, dirty and no hot water in room 21 and the main light switch does not work. The AC doesn't turn off. Could be better.

Hotel plus que vieillissant chambre drap serviettes sales, pas d’eau chaude, tout est moisi dans la sale de bain, le petit déjeuner pas mieux, la cuisine trop salée, et le wifi d’une lenteur qui a fait que l’on ne s’en est pas servi. Horrible séjour, n’y allez pas... très cher rapport qualité prix...

Central location for this hotel

Well its not the Ritz, its not the cleanest or best looking hotels. But the beds are lovely, the water peessure is perfect and the pool is a great escape from the hot sweaty streets. Breakfast is filling too. Just don't look to closely at the condition of the building. I would stay here again for sure.

Prijs kwalitijdsverhouding is goed

Vanwege een transfer vlucht via Makassar waar wij 21 uur moesten wachten heb ik dit hotel geboekt. Prima hotel om 1 of 2 dagen te overbruggen. Kan zien dat het een mooi hotel is geweest wat ooit goed lopend was. Helaas veel achterstallig onderhoud. Desalniettemin goed verblijf gehad kamer erg ruim en prettig . Personeel erg vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.

Good location but run down

Run down place...renovations are overdue, very dirty old looking towels that I wouldn't offer even to my dog! Helpful stuff though trying very hard to compensate the existing conditions...

Team at reception with limited english only

We did spent only one night in this Hotel and cancelled further planned nights after the experience. Reception could not help to organize a tour to surrounding areas/provide contact to organize tours to Toraja, mainly because their limited english knowledge. Breakfast was very disappointing for us: choice had to be made for either "Continental" or "Indonesian" and was "served" /single pieces. Obviousely their where only a few (6?) people staying at the Hotel at that day, might be that therefore there was no buffet for breakfast. Breakfast served in lobby area/inside/no view to ocean. Elevator was not working, we had to bring our luggage to higher floor.

Vroeger het beste hotel van Makassar, maar langzaam achteruit gegaan. Ruime kamers, zeer vriendelijke staf, goed eten. Ideale ligging in het centrum, veel restaurants en winkels op loopafstand en pal aan zee.

海に面したホテル。マカッサルはスラウェシ地方の重要な港町であり、大型の客船、貨物船がよく見える。

このホテルは以前は、格調の高い高級ホテルであったが、多少古くはなっているが依然高い格調を保っている。近年多数の高いホテルが新築されてきているが、けばけばしい感じがぬぐえない。海に面した食堂は海からの心地よい風が当たりとても気持ち良い時間が過ごせた。

大分質が落ちました

二年前に泊まったので今回も利用しました。しかし大分質が落ちたなと思いました。古いのでもう廃業の方向を決めたのかなと思うほど、バスやトイレのメインテナンスは悪かったです。フロントの女性の対応も？？立地はいいとは思いますが、かといって周りになにがあるわけでもありません。

Leuk maar verouderd hotel

Het hotel ligt in het havengedeelte van makassar en het strand is alleen aanwezig op de eilandjes in de buurt. Het hotel heeft veel achterstallig onderhoud en het zwembad heeft een beperkt aantal stoeltjes en ligbedden. De kamers zien er netjes uit en de voorzieningen zijn prima op de kamer. Het personeel spreekt goed Engels en kunnen je genoeg vertellen over eventuelen trips die je kunt maken.

Try a different hotel than this one

It took us 2 hours to check in because they had no record from hotels.com we had a reservation. I spent 25 minutes on the phone costing over $50 for the international call to get hotels.com to notify the hotel we had already paid. The hotel should have made this phone call, not me. Terrible customer service. I think Hotels.com should reimburse me for this hotel stay!

Administrative incompetence

Hotel administrative staff is extremely incompetent. If you do not want to sit in the lobby for hours and spend $$ on the phone with expedia to solve things then make sure the hotel has received the voucher from expedia before leaving.

Gloomy hotel with good location

The hotel is somewhat gloomy and smells much like cheap mens perfume. The service is good but very slow and you have to remind the staff at the reception unfortunately. The location is good though with nice view of the ocean, especially from the restaurant with access from garden side.

現地支払扱いの予約確認書を提示しところ、エクスペディア経由の場合はエクスペディアで支払を完了していないと連絡が来ないから予約がないと言われ、予約したよりも安い料金ではあったが、別の部屋に通された。フロントはエクスペディアへの確認を怠った。不愉快なので、こんなホテルとは契約しないで頂きたい。

Mycket bra. Hotellet ligger helt perfekt, frukosten och rummet är bra och personalen vänliga och hjälpsamma. Vi var på ett stop-over på väg vidare till Bunaken. Makassar är kanske inte riktigt stället att vistas för länge.
