Perfect location, just right across the plaza from the train station and yet we never heard any noise from the nearness. So handy as a perfect starting point no matter what direction our plans were taking us, easy walk to the Old Town area and the river front just beyond, maybe 15 & 20 min respectfully at a leisurely pace. Wouldn't even consider anywhere else, the staff was beyond kind and gracious, loved our stay.

Amazing hotel

Amazing staff, they couldn't do enough to please us. We have already booked again to stay with them. Amazing location. Opposite the main Central Station. Restaurants galore. Very good transport links

Our 'Go To' hotel when we travel to Europe!

We've stayed at Hotel Hammer several times... and we will keep going back! An easy train ride from Frankfurt Airport and the hotel is directly across the street from the train station. We get greeted warmly every visit and much of the staff now feels like family. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet with special windows to reduce the noise. Breakfast is very nice with a coffee machine so you can make your own latte or cappuccino!

We were stationed in Mainz with military in 1980's. This was a first trip back. Great to stay just across from main train station. Lots of memories. Good location to stay, highly recommended. Staff were friendly and went out of their was to help us get to where we wanted to go.

Pros: Good location across the main train station. Front desk was nice and helped us store luggage when we arrived in the morning before check-in time. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Cons: Bathroom had a funky smell and mattress was not very comfortable.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof. Unser Zimmer war sauber und hatte keinen Teppich. Das ist für uns noch wichtig. Wir bevorzugen Zimmer ohne Spannteppiche. Es gibt jedoch auch Zimmer mit Teppich. Wir haben das Frühstück nicht gebucht, da es in der Nahen Umgebung genug Auswahl gab.
