Room was small and cold. Lighting was dreadful and the bed was like sleeping on the floor. Food was served in a room resembling a school canteen certainly not a restaurant

Ok for a one night budget stay.

Hotel chosen as most local to event we were attending. Accepted that room at hotel would be basic. Bed large and comfotable, clean sheets and pillow cases. Clean fluffy white towels. Hot shower. Very polite friendly staff. Room quiet and slept well. However room smelt of stale tobacco. Needed decorating. Fixtures and fittings all old and worn. Cobwebs visible at high level.

The property is undergoing a refurbishment and was evident with some works going on. Whilst facilities are 'tired' it all worked and will only get better. Staff are friendly and helpful and worked hard to ensure everything you needed was done efficiently. Compared to other properties in this price bracket, it had that personal touch and friendliness that made up for hotel needing a refresh, would stay again, especially after refurbishment completed. No EV charger here or nearby, useful but not vital.

I was kept up all night by people partying in the halls and having loud drunk sex till 12:30am. Felt unsafe to leave the hotel room to talk to staff, tried calling the desk 3 times but there was no pick up. Horrid experience.

Poor quality tired pub/hotel in need of refurbishment. Dingy room with view of airshaft & permanent running water feature (overflow constantly running down room window). Dining room not ready for breakfast service, could not help ourselvs to tea/coffee, cereals or fruit juice as non set out. 1 member of staff trying to do everything with not much sucess. Bathroom door broken & unable to close, toilet seat broken/insecure & exit from (fir exit route) room blocked by "put you up bed" left on corridor.Not worth the money.

The bed was very uncomfortable and you can feel the springs in the mattress, needs to be improved. The decor in the room.was outdated and tge water pressure in the shower was poor. Although we advised the hotel staff that we where going out and would be returning when the hotel was locked, we had to ring the bell a few times and where wiating 5 to 10 minutes to be.let in. The check out time of 10.30 is also very early compared to other hotels.Just left feeling that the hotel was not value for money and completely overpriced, certainly ecpected more. and will not be staying here again.

Awful .....

Definatley not as comfortable as other hotels i have stayed in. Im an avid Gig ,concert goer so have stayed in plenty of hotels . The bed was so uncomfortable like sleeping on a plank of wood it was so firm . hardly any pillows for 3 adults . Only 3 plug sockets for charging our stuff , the bathroom had mould on the cieling and not enough room to get dressed or undressed in the bathroom. The shower if you have on for longer than 2 mins overflows onto the bathroom room floor eekk. Claustrophobic cubical watch your arms as you will end up with bruises . One small toilet roll between three adults ,had to use our baby wipes in the end. We all know you cant put down the toilet ,so very cringe . Im very dissapointed because i paid good money for well absolute incompetant accomadation ,wish for my money back it really was awful .

Very tired looking hotel, way over-priced.

This is possibly one of the worst, most depressing hotels I have had the Mis pleasure of staying in for quite some time. The hotel is not really a hotel (or not at least where we were housed) but a room in an old house opposite the hotel which is really just a HMO. The room was small, tired looking with 80’s furniture and decor. The mattress was old and needed replacing at the shower the size of a small telephone box. The hall to the room was also very dull and uninspiring which is the ‘hotel’ was priced at £40 for the room I wouldn’t be leaving this review but we paid £78 and that didn’t even include breakfast - which was a further £15 each per head or £12 if we paid upon arrival. The only appealing quality was its location and the fact it had a 24hr bar - which we didn’t use as it looked very uninspiring. The staff were all also slightly odd that we met when we arrived and another couple had an issue with their payment. Our payment also hasn’t been taken ahead at our booking the room stage with hotels.com which is odd for the website and just generally we felt that the ‘hotel’ was just a cash cow for the owners with no investment or though about the comfort of the guests. When we told local people we were staying at ‘that’ hotel they said it was the worse in town but when we looked on line, others nearby looked even more uninspiring so who knows what that says about Maidstone? This is a budget hotel which should be priced according!
