Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Excessive Noise and Broken Promises
Unfortunately, my stay was plagued by repeated problems.
On the first day, breakfast ordered the previous evening took 90 minutes to arrive, despite numerous follow-ups and promises.
Every day, there was excessive noise from nearby parties or the mosque down the road, sometimes starting at 4 a.m., making proper sleep impossible.
As a diabetic travelling with temperature-sensitive medication, I asked to leave the air conditioning running to keep it cool. Instead, I discovered my room door had been left open, exposing all my belongings. A refrigerator was finally provided on the second-to-last day.
On my final day, the music was again so unbearable that I had to move to another hotel.
Staff were initially pleasant but became increasingly unfriendly as problems continued. The final straw was my driver waiting two hours for breakfast that never arrived. Violet, the apparent supervisor, blamed church commitments despite earlier assurances.
What disappointed me most was the constant failure to honour promises. Problems happen, but guests should not have to repeatedly chase staff for basic services.
I travel extensively and understand that standards vary, but security, reasonable comfort, reliable service and honest communication are universal expectations.
Sadly, this hotel failed on all counts. I would not recommend it.
