The breakfasts are delicious works of culinary artistry, beautifully presented, and they kept me going practically until dinner. I couldn't wait for the next morning to what we get next. Simon is a generous, engaging and resourceful host who gave helpful suggestions when I asked about local sites. The flea market items for sale throughout the house made for fun browsing in every hallway and common room. I would come back to this unique place for sure, close to downtown and all sorts of restaurants. Abig thank you to Simon!

More than just an overnight stay!

A great place to stay in Magog. Comfortable and interesting. Simon, the host, is friendly and gracious. The breakfast is a gourmet experience. We will return and tell our friends about La Maison de ville.

The host was amazing and also a great chef. Breakfasts were something to look forward to. The property is in a safe neighborhood right in the heart Magog. Very walkable to great dining and Magog is a nice small town. Also, in driving distance to good attractions for skiing, hiking, wine tasting.

We had a wonderful stay! It was our first time in a bed and breakfast so didn't know what to expect. Simon was an absolute awesome host in every way. The breakfast served was beyond fabulous and we would definitely recommend staying there! Loved having the front terrace to use.

This was a perfect stay for us while in Magog. This B&B is in a perfect location and convenient to downtown shopping. The owner, Simon Beaupre', was a perfect host and is a wonderful chef. His breakfast creations were simply amazing! Not only were his creations beautiful, the food was delicious. We were able to stay in two of the five rooms. Night #1 we stayed in room #5, which is the only room on the ground floor. It is a smaller room with a small corner shower, which is great if you are only staying a day or two. This room is the most convenient to the dining area and the front porch. Rooms #1 - #4 are on the second floor, as is the parlor, which is accessible for all patrons. If you have difficulty negotiating stairs, and room #5 is unavailable, you will not want to book your stay at this B&B. We truly enjoyed our stay and will look to staying here on future travels to Magog. We highly recommend this B&B for those looking for a quaint stay at 100+ year old home in downtown Magog. You will enjoy Simon's amazing breakfast. Simon can also serve dinners for those who pre-arrange this service with 4 or more.

Perfect in every way

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of a one-night stay at La Maison de Ville (August 2, 2025). The accommodation in a century home was outstanding. Our room was one of four on the second floor. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom. There was a shared lounge area with television, Nespresso machine, toaster oven, fridge and balcony. Breakfast was fantastic. We started with a baked pear topped with apples, greens, sunflower and poppy seeds, and cream over caramel. That was followed by grilled eggplant, zucchini, another type of squash, poached egg, sunflower seeds and greens over toast. Coffee and the orange/pineapple juice were great. Presentation of the breakfast was first class. I appreciate the fact that Simon sources locally grown produce and goods. The location was perfect. It was one block from the lively restaurants and shops on rue Principale. Pointe-Merry Park and the lake were minutes away. Parking was free. Simon, the owner, was an outstanding host. Upon checking in, he asked if we had any dietary allergies. He offered suggestions about what we could see and do during our stay. During breakfast he explained the dishes that were served, and also took time to detail the extensive renovations and history of his 20 year ownership of this fabulous bed and breakfast. It was obvious that Simon is a trained chef. Our only regret was that we only stayed just one night. We will definitely return. Thank you, Simon.

Endroit très particulier avec beaucoup d’objets antiques. Notre chambre, la 5ième chambre, était très bien aménagé avec beaucoup de cachet jusqu’aux petits détails. Le déjeuner inclus était du genre très rafiné et était vraiment délicieux. Le café est excellent. Une belle surprise ;-)
