The service was first class and the dinner is the best meal I've ever had anywhere. Breakfast was also excellent. Sean and the team made us feel very welcome and we had a beautiful, relaxing evening in a wonderful property. Ardtara was a real treat for us and we will definitel be back.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. Lovely big bed. We did have a room over the restaurant but once it got past 11pm it was so quiet we had a great night’s rest.

Beautiful period property overflowing with character whilst subtly including all the modern convenience needed for a favourable stay. Enjoyable, serene gardens that are well worth discovering, and probably the friendliest most welcoming check-in I have ever experienced. Will definitely return.

Amazing place

Ardtara House is amazing. Friendly atmosphere from the forst second with Sean. Room beautiful. Bed so soft. Food out of this world. Small lounges lovely. Drinks first class including their own special blend gin. Breakfast gorgeous.

Beautiful welcoming stay in a spectacular house

Such a lovely stay with the added personal touch from all staff. The house is beautiful and Sean gave us a tour around with great knowledge of the history. We were able to order from either bar menu or restaurant menu and food was amazing. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails after dinner in the small cosy bar were Valerie was very attentive. Bedroom was gorgeous and breakfast was so good the next morning. All in all we had such a welcoming stay for one night in a spectacular house steeped in history

Ardtara is a wonderful, unique gem of a hotel. Full of individual charm and character, with spacious well-equipped rooms, common areas and marvelous gardens, all set against a backdrop of silent Irish countryside. The food is marvelous and the restaurant serves excellent local produce, cooked and served to perfection. Above all the team makes any stay at Ardtara feel special. Sean and Lee Anne made us feel genuinely welcome and the warmth, courtesy and professionalism of all the staff really add the 5th star to our 5 star rating!

We had a super stay at Ardtara on the 13th September. Leanne greeted us on arrival & we were so impressed with her friendliness & knowledge. Lovely rooms, very quiet, just what we needed. Stunning location. Breakfast was just right. Plenty of selection. The man who served us was v cheerful & chatty even though he seemed v busy. I would thoroughly recommend & definitely be back in Winter when we can avail of fire in our room.
