This is a great hotel near shopping and historic sites. The rooms are larger than other hotels in the area. The amenities are 5-star. The only downside was all the nearby construction and the frequent need to cross the street for transit pickup.

This hotel is a great 'home base' to explore Madrid. It is right beside several grocery stores and across the street from a subway station. Taxis are plentiful and available 24/7. The front staff are multilingual, friendly, and helpful. The room is larger than many in comparable places in western Europe, and (most importantly) the AC worked very well. I would definitely stay again if I have the chance to visit Madrid. Highly recommended!
