Condition of the room was very poor - many large stains all over the carpet throughout the room, obvious water damage on baseboards and wall areas coming away. We did contact the staff who were kind and amenable but they had no other room for us to move into, and so we needed to stay in this room for the night. A room in that state should not be made available for guests.

Stayed at Mecure Macon with 3 rooms for 6 people. Paid in advance for breakfast with the booking. There was literally no brekfast available at 9am and waited for over half an hour - no coffee or tea or juice or water or crossaints or bread or anything else. Hotel blamed Covid for lack of staff but no managers on site to help.

Indifferent staff

Apart from a sub standard room. Air con or heating was at the discretion of the manager or hotel. Of course you could open the window. Breakfast compared with another Mercure at Troyes our previous stay was a joke. Just a coffee machine and disinterested staff. Not even cutlery on our table. Do not go there. A shame for the mercure name.

Basically it's a great hotel. No major complaints. However two issues. In the reception area there was a strong smell of some kind of air freshener - for us it was far too strong and definitely not pleasant. Also there was no desk-type set up for a laptop in our room - a surprising omission. There was just one small table which was not sufficiently solid to enable easy use of a laptop.

Frühstück war sehr gut, grosse Auswahl und sehr gute Qualität. Vom 14.-20. war es nicht warm, also kein Pool. Das Personal sehr sympathisch und das Problem moquette sale (mehrmals in Referenzen erwähnt) ist vorhanden, die Lösung = in Hotelzimmer Keine Teppiche, da sie immer wieder schmutzig werden.
