We had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan! The sunrise was gorgeous! The room was nice and cozy with pine walls! The only downside was we could hear other guests talking from other rooms. They should have made it more soundproof.

The property is recommended to stay for couple of days. The staffs are helpful and cooperative. But this does not have the iron, water boiler or microwave. Otherwise good to stay.

They gave us room 432 and it smelled terrible of mildew and the air didn’t work properly. We requested a new room and received it. The new room had no funny smells and the air worked. It’s outdated but okay for a place to sleep.

My room overlooked the beach. Room was good but still had the older beds and bed covers, not the new ones shown in most pictures. I will say, the were putting in new beds while I was there. They need to have someone to wipe the spider webs down on the balconies. And dust the top of the armoire, pretty dusty. It's a good stay. I would stay again.

The location is convenient. However, some of the rooms are very outdated. The waterfront rooms with balconies overlooking the beach were much better than the others as far as updates. The staff was super helpful, but it was dirty on the beach and around the property due to the Fourth of July. People shot off fireworks and left them everywhere on the beach.

It’s a nice, quiet, and clean place at a good price; the only issues were that many of the lamps didn't work and the TV remote was broken. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean and well taken care of. it was a nice place by the beach and the balcony meant i could sleep with the door open on the lake and that was great! the staff was great with any questions or needs i had. the only down sides were the beds were very old and not very comfortable and there was little parking near to my room. everything else was great for the price! Thank you!

Staff at check in was courteous and kept asking me if we wanted to upgrade our room. Since we paid more for the Deluxe King Lakeview Room, we turned down the upgrade. We soon understood why she asked us several times if we wanted to upgrade our room. The room we were given was NOTHING like the ones in the photo on Expedia. We understood the place is older but we didn't expect it to be dirty (spider webs, moldy windows), smelly (nothing worse than cigarette smoke masked by cleaning solution), and furniture in disarray (picture frame off the wall sitting on nightstand, lamp that kept flickering off and on, dresser in the middle of room). It seems their strategy is to bait and switch us, then try to get us to pay more money (upgrade) for a cleaner room. Expedia really should visit these hotels to make sure that the photos advertises are in fact true representation of the rooms Expedia customers get when they make a reservation.

Upon an initial entry into the room, it was quite obvious that cleanliness is not high on their list. I can assure you, the carpet was not swept. I cannot assure you, the bedsheets were washed as the sheets were quite wrinkled and there were dead bugs. The comforter on the bed was visibly dirty as well. The wall had torn wallpaper under the air-conditioning unit and a large section of broken down wall was exposed. The door to the balcony had daylight showing through when it was closed. The bathroom has clearly had water issues because there was a water stain all around the toilet. The staff was very kind when I did interact with them; check in and out was a breeze. The price was right for my budget, but I do think next time I’ll splurge on the accommodations, rather than risk a filthy space. We only stayed because we were literally only there to sleep and shower.

When I booked it the pictures showed the cabin I thought we were staying in the cabin but we stayed in the building that’s really old next to the cabin it was on the lake but the room was very outdated, the door got jammed had to slam it open and shut the lock had to jiggle it to lock it the rooms had bugs but it was expected being off the lake but the furnitures were outdated broken or just didn’t belong. The rooms are spacious 2 bathrooms showers were small but got the job done we checked in late at night and the office was closed with a sign that said to check in from the hotel next door which they had a nice updated common area smelling good to then go to our room that was stuck in the 70’s but overall it got the job done the bed looked cleaned the lake was feet’s away from the room definitely wouldn’t come here if you’re looking for a romantic getaway
