The room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom had been updated. This hotel sits directly on the lake, beautiful views from the room. The TV is difficult no channels and we had a difficult time finding anything to watch in our downtime. The exterior of the hotel needs some love, it is banged up and dirty but when you enter your room it is a very pleasant surprise, very clean. The breakfast in the morning was very good and they had a lot of options.

My granddaughter and I enjoyed a nice stay at the Best Western. This is our second time staying at this hotel in Mackinaw. It’s always clean, breakfast is great and is close to all the downtown shopping, which is within walking distance.

The reception at the front desk was less than cordial…maybe she was having a bad day, not sure! Rest of staff was friendly. Hotel is right on a sandy beach (Lake Michigan). Staff doesn’t seem to maintain it at all, but there are chairs and loungers and it is great for swimming (in the clean, calm, fresh water of Lk Michigan). Kids love it and it is safe. (No lifeguard.) Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but there are loads of options along the main drag. For dinner we loved Rusty Spike Brewery (also on Main Street and within walking distance).

I thoroughly enjoyed this location while on my vacation. The property had a jacuzzi in the room, spotless cleaning, helpful staff, the view was beautiful from the beach and everything was close to this location. I was shocked to see how many cleaning staff they had each morning out working and how helpful they were. I highly recommend this location.

Great location. Pool and hot tub were awesome! Shuttle pickup for ferry rides to the Island provided, which was great. Room was nice and had a beautiful view with a balcony. Beach looked great and had chairs for guests to use.

This hotel has seen better days. For the price, I would not stay there again. The rooms are extremely old and smell like old cigarettes. We left with our clothes, even in suitcases, smelling. The only redeeming quality was the proximity to the beach and nice continental breakfast. For what they're charging, the rooms should be updated by now. Staff was friendly and helpful.
