Vacations Close To Mack Park

Room was small but cute. We didn’t use the amenities (kitchenette) or even the shower. Just spent the night there after a formal event. Location is great, right across from the beach and close to local shops, restaurants and the Oceanside Pier. That being said, the staff was extremely unaccommodatiing and the online contactless check in process was confusing and frustrating. I had three requests- all of which were refused. First off, we had two cars, but were told we could only park one onsite. We were sent a link to arrange for nearby pay parking. Only to find out upon arrival there was free parking available on the street. No big deal. Second, I requested to check in fifteen minutes ahead of time so that I could have time to change. I was flatly refused. “Your code will not work until 4pm.” Ok. Fine. I did my makeup and hair ahead of time (before traveling) and just changed into my dress at the hotel. Third, I requested late check out. I was again denied. The rationale was that the housekeeping staff was on a strict schedule and someone else would be checking in at 4pm. So I had to be out by 11am so that they could have FIVE hours to clean a small room an bathroom. This request easily could’ve been accommodated, but was refused. We simply would’ve enjoyed a little more time to explore the neighborhood before having to check out, but all we were able to squeeze in was a coffee and a walk on the pier. Something else to note was the wacky check-in process. But I’m out of room!

The hotel was amazing. The staff was less than helpful. They seem to expect that a QR code can replace human interaction. I normally expect a greeting along with a short brief on amenities and followed by "if you need anything please let us know". Instead I got. "Scan the QR code." The description of amenities was long and poorly written which required me, more than once to ask for clarification. When I check into a nice hotel after a long day of travel, I simply expect polite, welcoming and helpful. Not, get out your electronic device and figure it out.

The property is an old school family retreat. The amenities have improved over the years. The pool areas is much cleaner and more upscale than it used to be. The beach services are amazing, as is the new Walnut Lounge (Bar on the Beach). I absolutely love this property. The private beach is fabulous. I love having barbecues on the beach with tables set up for your entire family to enjoy a sit down dinner. If you are looking for a brand new, marble clad hotel, this isn't it. If you want a relaxed upscale beach experience you can't go wrong with this property.

This hotel had the absolute best service. The location cannot be beat. Room was very clean and cozy. Love the outside seating areas especially the rooftop deck to view the ocean sunset. Thank you ! We will be back.

We had an excellent stay- the staff were friendly and helpful, room was amazing and the spa was exactly what you'd expect at a 5-star hotel. We will be back!

Beautiful place and family oriented. Children love the condo and hope to go back yearly. It was our first time from CT.

The rooms were full of dust , smelled the urine and the bedding / pillows smelled . I had to put towels on the beds . my son and husband didn' t even sleep in the room they went and slept on our boat .
