Very comfortable and well remodeled room. The location provides beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing. Tons of Osprey hunting along the river and Bald Eagle sightings. The cormorants were plentiful as well. Centrally located for day trips all over the area. I will absolutely stay here again.

This was our favorite hotel of our trip. The view of Machias River was so peaceful, my 6 year old just sat out there coloring for an hour. Everything in the room felt very fresh and clean. 10/10

I really loved the location. It was central to all I wanted to do and see, and there were great local restaurants. What I didn’t like was that the cleaning staff for my room was subpar. Trash was emptied, thats it. No beds were remade or cleaning was done that was evident. When the bed was “remade”(one time)the covers were thrown over the bed and covered the pillows, a very hasty job to say the least. But all in all I did have a fantastic time.

This motel is lovely. Beds are great, linens clean and comfy. Staff was friendly and Helen's Restaurant across the parking lot is AMAZING. Plan to make the trip to Machias next time we're in Maine primarily based on this stay.

Great value with a beautiful view

We had a clean, spacious room with two large beds and a beautiful river view outside our sliding doors in back. The sheets were crisp and the bathroom was very clean, with plenty of hot water for our showers. The restaurant across the parking lot served an excellent dinner. The inn’s gift shop is a great bonus! We will certainly stay here again.
