Really liked Helen's kitchen across the parking lot. Best lobster dinner of the 6 lobsters I ate on this trip. Great food & prices. Hotel was fine. Nothing exceptional good or bad. Was clean & comfy

Very comfortable and well remodeled room. The location provides beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing. Tons of Osprey hunting along the river and Bald Eagle sightings. The cormorants were plentiful as well. Centrally located for day trips all over the area. I will absolutely stay here again.

This was our favorite hotel of our trip. The view of Machias River was so peaceful, my 6 year old just sat out there coloring for an hour. Everything in the room felt very fresh and clean. 10/10

Absolutely beautiful Inn. Our travel plans were mixed up, and we showed up early, and our room wasn't ready, but they did everything they could to get us in a room. Everyone we met there was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

The location next door to Helen's Restaurant was fantastic since we had rain that evening. The view of the river from the Adirondack chairs out the back door would have been a great feature were it not for the rain! My small complaint was that there was only 1 coffee pod (the second was decaf). Perhaps they took into account that there was a single occupant. I would stay again.

I really loved the location. It was central to all I wanted to do and see, and there were great local restaurants. What I didn’t like was that the cleaning staff for my room was subpar. Trash was emptied, thats it. No beds were remade or cleaning was done that was evident. When the bed was “remade”(one time)the covers were thrown over the bed and covered the pillows, a very hasty job to say the least. But all in all I did have a fantastic time.

This motel is lovely. Beds are great, linens clean and comfy. Staff was friendly and Helen's Restaurant across the parking lot is AMAZING. Plan to make the trip to Machias next time we're in Maine primarily based on this stay.
