Stayed here for Andre Rieu and couldn’t ask for a better hotel. Bed was comfy and shower facilities were great. Location was fantastic, being located in the heart of Vrijthof Square. Room was quite warm with no AC, however was provided with a fan to counter this. 10/10 would recommend!

Awful. Hotel sent me an email saying I could check in as late as 22:00 and that someone would be there to greet me. I arrived at 21:00 and was not able to check in due to no one being there. If I never received that email, I would have been on time. They charged me for both nights I was staying and didn’t refund me for THEIR mistake. If you want to have no place to stay your first night in Europe and be out money to begin your trip, this is your place.

Terrible. Stay away from this hotel

I have left my luggage at the reception around noon time and before the room is ready. They gave me the key of the room and kept the luggage at reception locker. When I arrived back at the hotel door of the hotel was closed. My key opened the door and I could not reach my luggage. Nobody informed me about the closing time of the reception while taking my luggage. Then I left with no luggage and could not reach any of my belongings including my medicine and care goods. Unbelievable. Also at midnight there was the fire alarm on without anybody from hotel management available. It was the most terrible hotel experience ever. They did not even apologised properly for the experience I had. Please stay away from this hotel. Only good thing is the location of the hotel nothing more.

I had one stay few days berfore the Corona pandemic in this hotel and the room was not bad, but this time the room was much more than dirty, i asked two times to clean it but nothing had changed even after the extra clean, it seems that they don't know anymore the defference between clean and dirty, furniture and equipments in room are totally broken, they chrged me extra amount over the city tax without to declare the reason because the receptionist herself couldn't count or to find the reason of this extra charge. I gave two stars for the friendly receptionists and for the location otherwise hotel get a zero stars rate, the hotel actually (needs a hotel to be a hotel) the worst thing is that such a hotel don't care because they are always fully booked for the season of andré rieu. Not anymore in this hotel and i feel pitty for each cent you would pay for this hotel

I don’t want to leave a bad review, the position right on the Vrijthof was unbeatable and the 2 rooms were lovely. I advised the hotel by email that we were arriving around 8pm , subject to flight / rail timings. It was very dark when we arrived at 8.15pm and everywhere was closed. The hotel isn’t really the one shown lit up in your picture, access is through a small ‘residential type’ front door to the right.There is no signage saying Saillant Hotel after about 20 minutes ring and knocking we were fortunate that another couple arrived who were already in the building, they very helpfully phoned a number that they had and the person answering directed us to 2 locked key boxes and gave the codes to access the keys for the building and the 2 rooms. On the wall near the door / key boxes there is a small brass plate which says Hotel Maastricht, not Hotel Saillant, there is no other signage and the area was dark and poorly lit so. Then, into a small shabby hallway leading to a steep staircase. Our rooms were the only two a the first landing, our daughter went to the back, we were at the front. We had an amazing , exciting view of the Christmas markets, the ferris wheel etc. Both rooms were very nicely appointed , but our daughter endured night long plumbing noises, loud enough to record and whoever purchased the 18’’ weird square, extra deep pillows should be made to try and sleep on them for the rest of their lives……..we couldn’t. It’s really rooms on upper floors,not a hotel

Het hotel ligt op een perfecte locatie voor een korte stedentrip naar Maastricht. Mijn kamer was schoon, ruim en de bedden lagen heerlijk! Doordat het gebouw wat ouder is hoor je inderdaad wat van buiten, maar dat hou je toch in een stad. Personeel was vriendelijk en het in en uitchecken ging gemakkelijk. Mijn kamer werd elke dag schoongemaakt, heel fijn!! Ik heb me hier fijn gevoeld en geen moment onveilig, toch belangrijk voor een vrouw alleen.

Mala experiencia

Nos tocó en el 3 piso, no hay elevador y es incómodo con las maletas. La limpieza; desde que llegas las alfombras no se han aspirado en meses, al llegar a la habitación, no es que estén mal las instalaciones, simplemente no le han dado mantenimiento en meses y necesita una limpieza profunda. El desayuno fue agradable la recepcionista Ariana también la mesera y prepara los cafés, súper agradable y dispuesta para atenderte Lo rescatable es la buena ubicación

De ligging van het hotel is zeer goed, middenin het centrum. De kamers zijn netjes, de bedden prima en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Jammer dat de entree en vooral de trap naar de kamers wat onverzorgd overkomen. Maar al met al een prima hotel, zeker voor die prijs!

onze kamer was niet echt schoon. er lag overal stof. zelfs in de badkamer. de trap naar boven was met vloerbedekking en zag er niet schoon uit. het is net of de stofzuiger nog nooit de trappen nooit heeft gezien. we hadden een kamer op bovenste verdieping en dat was een hele klim en zeker voor mijn vrouw. tv deed het niet en geen afstandsbediening ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat het meisje die daar werkte haar best deed. we vonden het een teleurstelling en wij niet alleen. iedereen klaagde hoe vuil de kamers waren.

Schon beim Check in fing der Ärger an. Es wurde einem ein Computertablett rübergegeben in das man alle üblichen Angaben selber eingeben sollte. Leider funktionierte das Programm überhaupt nicht und nach dem x-ten Versuch meine Anschrift einzugeben habe ich entnervt aufgegeben. Das Ganze dauerte 15-20 Minuten. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Altbau. Unser Zimmer lag im obersten Stockwerk und war nur über eine steile, enge Treppe erreichbar. Kein Aufzug und Hilfe beim Gepäck gab es nicht. Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig bis auf die Toilette. Die war so eng, dass man die Tür bei Benutzung etwas offen stehen lassen musste. Zudem war das Zimmer nicht wirklich sauber, insbesondere besagte Toilette war verschmutzt und sonderte einen üblen Geruch nach Urin ab. Der Gipfel war das angebotene große Frühstücksbuffet für immerhin 16,- Euro p.P.. Es bestand aus einem an der Rezeption ausgegebenen Tablett mit Tassen, schmutzigen Gläsern und kalten Eiern. Dazu wurde einem eine Papiertüte mit trockenen gummiartigen Brötchen und in Plastik verpacktem Brot , zwei in Frischhaltefolie eingewickelten Scheiben Wurst und Käse „gereicht“ . Um nicht wieder mühsam die Treppe hochsteigen zu müssen nahmen wir vor dem Hotel auf der Straße an verdreckten Tischen und Stühlen Platz. Einziger Pluspunkt war das freundliche und bemühte Personal. Alles in allem eher eine Enttäuschung und keine Empfehlung.

Super centraal gelegen hotel aan het Vrijthof, perfecte uitvalsbasis om Maastricht te verkennen. Vriendelijk personeel, fijne bedden, geen geweldig kussen, gordijnen mogen wel een update krijgen, supergladde douchevloer waarop je zeer snel uitglijdt.
