Can't beat the location of this motel, right on the main road with great restaurants, attractions, etc. within walking distance. Perfect spot to begin acclimating for mountain trips. Bed was comfy and the host was very helpful with recommendations. Should be noted that some photos in the listing are of the rental house and some of the motel, so be sure you're booking the space you want.

Incredibly cute and cozy room. Bed was insanely comfortable with soft sheets and blankets. Having a kitchen was nice to take a break from eating out or pulling out my camping gear. Atmosphere on the property was great. The night I checked on, there was a live band playing and I got to have dinner at the food truck. Dogs loved it as well.

Super fun night away in Lyons! We love the A-Lodge in general for a night out and decided to try a night at the lodge. Easy to stumble to our beds after the party at the A-Lodge Rock Garden. Cute studios, AC worked great. (This place I wouldn't recommend for people going to bed early and wanting quiet.)

We've stayed at A-Lodge several times while visiting family in Lyons. It is a very convenient location for us and we're glad for it. There are a few things that need tending to. We stayed in Unit 3 this time. All the electrical receptacles are worn out and won't hold the plug in. The receptacle in the bathroom didn't work at all because, I'm assuming, the GFI was tripped but the reset button was painted over so we were unable to use that receptacle. The shower control valve seems to be backwards. The H and C indicator are wrong. I understand it is an old facility but there should be a couple more electrical outlets. It would be nice to have a hook near the sink to hang the hand towel on. There are a lot of box elder bugs in the room. I'm not sure how to handle that but both the dead and live bugs in the room aren't pleasant. There are several maintenance issues that should be addressed. The window over the sink in the kitchen is filthy and the shelf where the AC apparently used to sit needs painted. The fire extinguisher bracket near the door for quick access was empty. We did see that there is a fire extinguisher in the room, under the counter. It would be nice to have a broom in the room. It's pretty easy to track in a lot of sand and dirt and unpleasant to walk in it barefooted. We do appreciate the nice bed and bedding and the thick towels in the bathroom. It is a quaint room that has obviously had much thought put into it. It could be a bit better. We'll be back for sure

Wedding in Lyons

We reserved 3 rooms for our daughters wedding for friends and/or family. One of the rooms was the suite and it was used for our daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready the day of the wedding.
