The staff at the Sofitel Lyon were superb. We had an issue with Air France’s missing baggage department, and the staff, especially Valentin, really helped us out of jam. Restaurant was great, location was lovely. We’d never been to Lyon, but we came away feeling it was a place we have to come back to. Thanks in large part to the team at the Sofitel.

Rooms were modern and clean with room-service, bathrobes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and toiletries, refrigerator, complimentary waters, crisps, nespresso machine, tea and hot water kettle. Room service was timely and food was excellent! Staff spoke English and were very helpful and professional. Has a salon and spa (we used both services and were very pleased). Location is central and walking distance to major sites, streets, cafes, shops and the main city square. Excellent hotel. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite hotel in Lyon. I have stayed there half a dozen times. Can't beat the location on the river and easy access to dining. Also, as a dog owner, I love that there is a dog park half a block away and a large green space at the end of the same block. The staff is always helpful and friendly. No need to look further, this is THE place to stay in Lyon.
