I am used to a campervan so having all the kitchen facilities and a safe suited me perfectly. The double bed was wide and firm. It wasn’t possible to have a cleaner for the six nights we stayed and I enjoyed the sense of privacy that allowed. The downside was that I had to run the hoover and put the rubbish out myself. Best to bring a dish towel and a kitchen sink plug too because you don’t want the dish-washer on all the time. Some reviews say the Residence needs an update but I enjoyed the slightly retro feel. The cloistered corridor was charming especially with the perfume from the trees outside floating in. I am in my seventies and found the hill manageable though my calves hardened up after two days climbing it. Metro La Croix Paquet, at the bottom of the hill, feels closer than the recommended metro stop of La Croix-Rousse. There’s a traboule just across the road! We had biting insects flying in at night in April - mozzie screens would be the best update for me. I would use the Residencia Villemanzy again.

Nice big and clean rooms with fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom with with a bathtub. Great view of the city from the window. The person I at the front desk was not very helpful with anything extra (pillow, towel). There is no AC, just a small fan. Had to leave the window open and run the fan all night. You are required to clean the room and take out your own trash. Location is the main problem. It is at the top of the hill, so anywhere you want to walk to is steep downhill/uphill coming back. No restaurants or breakfast places close by. The hotel does offer breakfast for 12 euros. There is parking, but no lines for cars to park in between, so there is a lot of wasted space, and not enough parking. We had to park on the handicap spot!

nice Apartment. tried to reserve a Parking with the booking, no reply. shortly before the stay the hotel communicated a welcome, to which I replied asking again for Parking. the Answer: sorry, Parking is booked out. so before checking in, I parked in the Public Garage LPA Park - Gros Caillou, which is clean and safe and was about €10,80- for the Night. then I walked 7 mins to the Hotel, carrying my luggage, only to be greeted with: you have a reserved Parking! which, of course, I had to decline then. otherwise the Staff was friendly and helpful, and the apartments are good, with Kitchenette.

Superbement situé sur la pente de la croix Rousse, l'hôtel de ville est à moins de 500 mètres. L'établissement a du cachet mais attention, qui dit pente, dit montée... Cet établissement mérite son lot d'efforts si on veut visiter à pied et qu'on ne descend pas à la sortie métro adéquate. Quelques petites améliorations seraient appréciables: - la kitchenette manque de quelques essentiels/basiques tels qu'éponge, liquide vaisselle, torchon, sel/poivre, huile... - la VMC dans la SDB de notre logement était un peu faible, ce qui explique la présence de légères moisissures... - l'aspirateur mis à disposition est en fin de vie, les roues latérales sont absentes, on dirait de la récup, mais il fait le job. Le personnel était accueillant et à l'écoute, le parking est gratuit, le nombre de places est limité (environ 13, si tout le monde s'y gare correctement) ,mais en plein "viaduc" de mai, nous avons pu y stationner sans problème. Je recommande pour ceux qui veulent visiter Lyon.

Hôtel très stylé situé sur les pentes du quartier de la Croix-Rousse, le quartier des canuts (ouvriers du textile). Une collection de pianos et autres instruments de musique anciens décore les couloirs du rez-de-chaussée. Certaines chambres sont sur deux niveaux (lit accessible par un escalier).

L'hôtel est dans un très grand immeuble prestigieux sur les pentes de la Croix-Rousse. Depuis la terrasse on a une très belle vue sur la ville côté Est. On est immergé dans la vie d'un quartier animé. La pente est très raide si l'on a des bagages. La station de métro Croix-Paquet est à 7 minutes. La place des Terreaux est à 10 minutes.

Öncelikle otel çok dik bir yokuş üstünde. Kahve ve sigara içebileceğiniz herhangi bir alan yok. Odalarda camlar, kalorifer petekleri, fayanslar, mutfak eşyaları, tuvalet ve küvet kirli. Ekstra yastık istedik, yok. Kahve makinesi çalışmıyor. Resepsiyona ulaşacağımız telefon çalışmıyor. Karşılamadakilerse hiç güleryüzlü değil. Eski bir askeri hastaneden otele çevrilmiş. İç karartıcı. Yangın splinkırı ve yangın çıkışı işareti göremedim. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum.
