A lovely weekend

We spent a weekend in Lyon at the Novotel and it was a lovely, relaxing stay. The car park was easily accessed and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were all very helpful. The food in the hotel was also very good.

Booked online 5mins before arriving, the hotel sent me directions to the hotels car park immediately. The carpark area for the hotel is very secure. Helpful to have safe parking with reasonable rates associated with our hotel stay. Very walkable area with the navette just outside the hotel to take into the city center as a fun way to travel, or one could walk along the river. If you like shopping the hotel is located in the Confluence which has lots of stores. However I thought the restaurant choices and their hours at the Confluence could be greatly improved.

Hotel did not acknowledge my birthday even when i gave them prior notice before my arrival. Water and tea was not replenished in the room. Breakfast was ok would have liked more options. The hotel is a good place to stay overnight on the way to the mountains. But if you want to explore the city of Lyon, it is far from the cultural centre and all the activities. Other than that the room was clean the beds were great and the breakfast just right!! I was impressed by the juice MN machine with healthy choices like carrots cucumbers, oranges, ginger etc.
