The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which is a positive thing, as our room was definitely in need of an update. Unfortunately, the sink drained extremely slowly, and the room had an unpleasant smell, as did several other areas of the hotel. The breakfast, however, was excellent, with a wide variety of tasty options to choose from.

If you would like to stay at a hotel with great staff and poor management this would be it . It is under construction . Air condition did not work .would not move me to anouther room when requested .safe is not secured to anything and was not usable because it had a key that would not work and key buttons that would not work . No ice for drinks . Ice machine broken .when we left yup elevator was not working . Nice location for transit but anywhere in town would be good for transit anyway . Pictures appear to be ai generated

Quiet location . Near a main train/ metro station. Unfortunately there is no restaurant for hotel guests onsite. The cooliing system in the room was not responsive, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent.

Most staff was pleasant and helpful. One overnight fellow seemed poorly trained. Breakfast coffee had 2 machines which didn't keep anyone waiting. Juice machines and egg situation was good. A little disappointed with pastries and fresh fruit. Breakfast area, along with hallways and room were somewhat tired, but clean.

This property is located right near a train and bus station with easy access to Vieux Lyon (old Lyon), there is a lot of restaurants and shops around the hotel as well. The hotel breakfast was also excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Lyon.

My sons and I stayed for one night at the hotel Charlemagne so we could experience the city and the food culture it provided. We enjoyed the air conditioning the hotel had to offer in the rooms AAA we happened to hit a warm spell at the time of our visit. The lobby is fine, the elevators smaller than one might expect at a 4 star hotel, but all in all the photos of the facility are fairly accurate. It is a nice place to stay for the money you pay.

My wife and I went for 2 nights and had an excellent experience. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable bed. It was minutes away from the train station Lyon Perrache, 10 min from the confluence and 40min walk to Old Lyon. Would definitely recommend.
