“Nice, bright room at the top of the inn looking over the village street down to Hurlstone Point. Big, clean en-suite. Good full English breakfast, very friendly staff who wanted to be sure we were happy. The bar was lively in the evening with plenty of groups at the sofas, tables and bar-stools.”

You enter by their restaurant which, by the way, has very tasty seafood platters every day made by chef Steve, who also prepares an excellent English breakfast every morning. “Very friendly. I was assisted up the stairs with a suitcase. One problem was that I couldn't drop the suitcase at the front door of the hotel as there was no entry signs at each end of the road so I had to trundle my case from the car park. I may have booked a nearer car park had I known.”
