It's a short walk into town. The room was clean and fresh. We didn't need to interact with the staff much but everyone was helpful and pleasant when we did.

Great find in Lyndhurst

Lovely staff, good location a five minute walk from Lyndhurst's high street. Very clean, good facilities, adequate parking spaces. Tasty breakfast. Would come again!

A gem of a hotel

Comfortable, clean, large rooms with sizable en suite, fresh attractive decoration. Perfectly located 10min walk into the town with a choice of restaurants and walks.

I always stay at Ormonde House when I visit the new forest and it is ALWAYS a wonderful experience. So peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful rooms, very friendly staff who are always willing to stash my bag after I check out but before my train out). So much love to everyone at Ormonde House. I recommend it to friends but I also love to keep this little gem to myself!

Great hotel

We stayed with our dog for the night and it was wonderful. The room was a very nice size, very clean and the staff were very accommodating. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the hotel is in an ideal location.

Lovely two day stay.

Great find in my favourite place the new forest. Friendly staff. Good food especially the lamb curry. Very tasty. Comfortable room with king size bed and whirlpool bath. Will definitely come back.

Stay was good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was very good. The room was okay the mattress was a bit springy and there were no biscuits to have with my tea. Other then that it was great 👍 Raj helped me with local taxis too which was great to help me get around 👍

Excellent Base for our weekend in the New Forest

Excellent, helpful staff offered great service throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the fact that it was on the second floor didn't present a problem. Additional heater provided if needed. We decided to eat in the hotel both evenings as the food was first-rate and reasonably priced! Lyndhurst and all its amenities/shops are within walking distance as well as Bolton's Bench, a popular local beauty spot where new forest ponies roam freely.

We only stayed for one night, rooms were a nice size with good bathrooms. Not the cleanest place i have ever stayed, dining room ceiling had suffered some water danage. Our friends shower leaked badly which will also cause future problems. Thus could be a nice place but needs some care and attention. Location is fantastic

Overnight stay

The Ormonde House Hotel is where we have stayed numerous times. Not 5 Star but we love it. Clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and make your stay special. We will no doubt be back there again. My only complaint is that you are not offered anything else with your full english breakfast. We used to have a selection of fruit/yoghurt/cereal as well.

Really lovely, comfy hotel. We had a superior room and it was very spacious. Lovely big bathroom too. Nice to have a fan in the room too as often you have to ask for these things. Could do with a little bit of attention in the bathroom (bit of mould in places) and a coat of paint on the ceiling above the fireplace. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. You have to preorder the night before and state what time you would like it. Thought this a bit odd initially but it worked well. Service was excellent. Would have liked a selection of cereal, fruit, juices etc before the cooked option. There was 'juice' but to be honest, it was very diluted - didn't taste of anything! All in all a nice little break and we'd definitely stay again. 😊👍
