We gave Bella Vista Hotel & Suites a 4 out of 5 and had a good overall stay. The transformation from the old Kirkley Hotel is beautiful, the breakfast options were solid, the room had a comfortable amount of space, and the elevator was impressively fast, which we appreciated. Pool area was nice for the space, though we didn't use it, nor did we use the gym or connected restaurant, which we were told was nice and delicious. A few areas could be improved: the bathroom had no counter space, though we understand it was an accessible room and we booked it because the standard king rooms were unavailable; a closet or larger clothing rack would have been helpful; having outlet hubs on both sides of the bed would have been more convenient; and while the WiFi was very easy to connect to, it did go in and out during our stay.

The personnel were very good and the hotel was clean. The only issue is the noise. Every sound made in the hallway and other rooms echoed into our room. There is no floor covering (i.e. carpet) so there is nothing to absorb the sounds. The large gap under the door did not help.

AC wasn’t bad it just wasn’t able to be programmed to stay consistent and so the room constantly warmed and then cooled which is uncomfortable to sleep on. Cleanliness, staff and parking were all just fine. For the second time now we were awakened in the middle of the night to a very strong smell of pot being smoked. This will prevent us from staying there in the future.

I loved staying at the Bella Vista. Loved the decor, the size and cleanliness of the rooms, and most of all the staff. I made a mistake by booking a day off the date I actually needed and the lady at the front desk was so accommodating and understanding. Luckily she was able to find me a room. Other staff I encountered were very friendly-smiling, greeting me, and wishing me a safe trip home. Comfortable beds, everything was clean, and Christmas decor in the lobby and outside the hotel was beautifully and tastefully done. I did not choose to have the breakfast but will have to try it sometime based on the rest of my experience.

The lobby was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. The staff were professional and welcoming. Room 221 was just the opposite, it reminded me of a hospital room the walls were bare and the only thing I could see was the cracks in the molding; the furniture didn’t match the size of the room, there is king size bed and the bedside table were so small the lamps barely fit on them. The bathroom is so small, only one person can go into it at a time. Plus the only mirror was over the bathroom sink. It was a misfit and wasted space. Linda was great!

Overall…nice stay. Parking was easy and staff were welcoming. Although we were the last people in the restaurant, the staff were courteous without rushing us at all. The room felt stark…although it’s a room for 4, the pull-out bed was very uncomfortable, we needed to ask for extra blankets and there were only 2 bath towels. Whatever metal skirt surrounds the king bed lets out a very loud bang sound if touched with your shoe!? Rooms were clean and, again, the staff was very nice.
