Loved this place!!! Unexpected trail down to the base the river was great! Spent mornings with coffee and evenings with wine down at this wonderful place. Less than an hour from all the sights we wanted to see and great to be able to cook dinner at "home" at the end of the day.

Overall a very good experience and exactly what we are looking for. 20 miles south of Grand Marais and less than a mile from Superior National Golf Course and North Shore Winery. Room was clean and views were great, although it was foggy for much of our stay. Would absolutely stay again.

The condo we had was more like a nice hotel room, but it was very nice. The view of the lake was great. Access to the little beach area was also great. It was very private and quiet. Very good central north shore location. I highly recommend this property! However, next time I'd get a larger unit.

The hiking trails were beautiful, it’s a little awkward because you feel like you’re walking on other people’s “property” but it’s a public trail. The view was gorgeous, even though we were further away from the water. And there’s plenty of bowls, silverware, etc. so no need to stress about that which was nice! And it was a pretty drive to Grand Marais around 25 min.

My stay at Poplar River Condos was all that I wanted it to be. My room was cozy and clean with several windows that opened right to the forest. A short walk down the Lakeshore trail took me right to Lake Superior - with more than enough shoreline to explore or sit and watch the lake. The trail also takes you to the Poplar river, which was also stunning. My visit was perfect and I will definitely book here again.
